Thank you for swinging by our booth Stan. I think we last bumped into each other 5-6 years ago at the world of asphalt in Houston. The LED high tech lamps were most impressive. I would bet that small walk behind flail mower would be a hard sell in today’s specialty mower market. Rotary horizontal cutting mowers will probably dominate for decades still.

the Japanese are one of the few nations that actually have some form of consistent quality because the Japanese are very particular about their products. If the Kato equipment really is made in Japan and not made in china and assembled in Japan then they should be a quality machine from the get go.

Idk that it was his weirdness as much as a tendency to be passive aggressive when he senses a lack of professionalism and claims of extreme professionalism. If he didn't have that emotion, and never expressed it, he wouldn't be able to be who he is for us. High standards create discomfort in those who don't have them. Don't feel sorry for the lady. It probably helped her as long as she doesn't use it as a reason to be bitter. In which case Stan was not to blame because that was pre-existing.

@@gordowg1wg145 I tend to look younger than I am. I also became management fairly early in my career. I would be sent to trade shows with a very liberal budget. I struggled to get the time of day of most reps. So comming to this particular show I wanted to get a pallet of cordless drills, a pallet of cordless impacts, and 4 batteries per piece (among a bunch of other stuff we needed) The milwaukee rep completely ignored my questions, shooed me away. They kept acting like I was bothering them. Wrong move. I walked right back to the dewalt booth and loudly said. "I want to buy (said my order). Milwaukee couldnt be fucked to deal with me" Naturally the milwaukee reps instantly tried to get me over. And thats how dewalt has been suppling that companys need for 16 years. Its sad how much business ive choosen over the years based purely on customer service. The best reps treat everyone like they are valued customers. I want to know we are spending 10s or 100s of thousands of dollars, that we will be reasonably taken care if.
@gordowg1wg145
@gordowg1wg145 3 жыл бұрын
@@nes999 Agree 100%, got a LOT of stories of people being ignored, or looked down on, who had some very serious money on the line. For example, a personal case - my late mother, who would habitually walk round in bare feet, jeans and T-shirt wandered into her regular bank and asked to see the manager for a bridging loan to buy a house. The teller basically dismissed her, as did the manager when she insisted he be called in, so she told them she was closing her term accounts there and moving to the bank across the road. They were quite condescending with the manager telling the teller to take care of it... then the teller discovered mum had around 8 times the requested loan amount on term deposit, called in the manager in a panic and they both tried to talk her out of leaving. Her new bank was delighted with the business.

@@nes999 Kind of an unfair comparison and a stupid way to make a decision. Seems like you should've approached the DeWalt guys the same way you approached the Milwaukee guys. If you would've walked up to the Milwaukee booth and immediately told them your order, they would've treated you the same or better than the guys from DeWalt. Your comment makes no point other than "If you walk up to a salesman and tell them you're placing a large order, they'll treat you well."

If anyone were to ask me about a power tool like something battery operated, I would tell them what plastic the body is made of like PA-6 30% glass fiber nylon, how many turns the brushless motor is, how many cells are in the battery, cell manufacturer like Panasonic, Samsung, Sony etc, max current draw. Spends thousands of dollars for this one and that one that have the exact same building specs but let's just remove some features so that way it only works with these types of jobs and they will have to spend thousands more to make it do something different but no hey if we make it just a tad more expensive to buy those parts then buying one that can do that job without changing out buckets or hydraulic arms so they have multiple machines to load up and pack around.

You busted the chops of that female rep from Kato. Hopefully she will up her game. I can tell you have never been on the other side of the isle at tradeshows etc. It a tough job to be on point for hours on end plus dealing with John Q Public (some you want to give a knuckle sandwich). I manned a booth for 7 days and handed out 5000 business cards as well as spoke of the technical aspects of my product. it was brutal!

Cutting brush? Caster wheels? Etc. what is this machine? No mention of even the name of the product. Sloppy.

That’s battery powered 12inch same weight as gas lol. Not going sell why would ya use it cut slower fare enough less noise that’s not a lot of cutting on the wall. Use the dewalt 9inch cordless saw. Tremendous kit but for me it’s because it’s handy and LIGHT for cuting bricks pavers etc. but to buy another batteried powered saw to cut extra 17mm depth which same weight as gas but will take 3 times longer in concrete is insane. Loads concrete cutting Ts700 all day long beast of a machine. If was half the weight as gas and didn’t own 9inch which cuts 83mm depth may be a interest. But no real benefit as a deeper cutting blades means hard ass materials likely that your wanting to get through quickly. Gas machine out hands down.

Did I see correctly that the lift arm of that japanese Kato CL35 was not secured or supported by any means? Wow, you're brave to put your head under that crusher. Nice video as always!

After seeing your hair and your son's hair, I highly recommend that you buy a "Flowbee" the precision home hair cutting system. Best haircuts that I have ever had. My 17 year old has never been been to a barbershop...and his older brother had the same history until he moved away. Buy a Flowbee and it will pay for it self in a year or two. Mine is 21 years old and going strong. It has saved me hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
