Tip on how to unhook your rod would be to pull your fishing pole up in the vertical position and it will break loose

You what they say, you’ll never know if you don’t ask, my name is Anthony, I’m 23, i live in md and love boating, i watch you guys all the time, but have NEVER been fishing before, and would love to, what are the chances i fly myself to Florida and you show me the ropes sometime?🤷🏻♂️
@nicholasmarino17Күн бұрын
If you were in Boston I’d take you fishing. Fly out to Florida and get a ticket on his charter, he does ‘em for work.
@TheRealMrSixКүн бұрын
how do you like that 599LM ducer nick?? mine in hull finally gave out for whatever reason and debating on dropping the cash on that guy but since I'm in the Gulf water and rarely get out super super deep unless it's a trip... I'm second guessing it

I love having the 3kw transducer. They aren’t cheap as you know, but if you do a lot of deep water bottom fishing or swordfishing it’s well worth it. If you don’t go deeper than the 1000’ mark on average the B175 is a great 1kw transducer.

How are you able to drift and hold bottom with 20oz? Was down there June and was using 8lbs and couldn’t hold bottom in 650ft. Tried power drifting but it’s pretty hard with a rod in one hand and the throttle in the other.
@StanzFamКүн бұрын
Lighter Current this time of year on average but the 20 lb braid makes all the difference. I agree its tough to drive and fish at the same time when the current is rolling

You gotta let those 350s stretch their legs more often.. They sound better in quad form than their 4.2L siblings too.
@StanzFamКүн бұрын
Love hearing that! Paul Young was the host of that show
@mosquitofleetfishing6599Күн бұрын
@ oh the good ol’ days. And Yamaha really stepped up their game by putting the 350 through weight loss surgery. On a side note, don’t be too upset about losing 2 jigs on a trip. We’re usually in the 5-8 range 🤣

I don't know about you but I want my 20 pound line to break at 20 pounds that's why I still fish with ande certified line!!! I caught at 13.7 pound bass in south Florida on what I thought was 10 pound test and in the early 80s that would have been a record but the line tested at almost 18 so only use certified line since!!!
@StanzFamКүн бұрын
That's a heck of a bass! The braid nowadays pretty much all breaks way over, but agreed if record fishing we would need to put some igfa mono in there
