If the non-rc models go for $300-$400, then an RC model of one would probably more than double that and very few people would be able to buy it.
@Holztransistor2 ай бұрын
@@StaplesandVine Not that much of a mystery when you consider that an official license does cost money. Especially for a successful franchise. Profit margin would be small. In regard to this tank, it would need to be bigger scale and would have to weigh a bit more to really give it the feeling of a heavy vehicle (realistic movent of suspension etc.). I would be thinking of something like the Armortek 1/6 scale "models".

@@StaplesandVine If it can withstand water put it in the shower and use a flower spray set to misty to simulate rain, turn off the lights and add some thunder flashes with a cell phone set on automatic. Do a closeup of it moving with a cardboard piece on the floor to get a rough surface and another (black) as backdrop. It would look amazing just like the outdoors scene in the movie. Don't damage the precious model if it can't do this of course. Another way to get a nice looking backdrop for still photos is using a PC screen with a photo from the movie or off a construction site or plant that looks the part on it. Just place an elevated surface for it to stand on in front of the screen, turn off the room lights and take a photo at a slight angle to avoid direct reflection in the screen. The vehicle lights will make it look great. Add a little ambient light if needed. If you add some smoke to it even better. Dry ice in a cup woud do it.

@@StaplesandVine 100%. I made a custom 3D printed spaceship, search for "MIRAN Lancer Class 3D Printed Warship". I've never seen so much superglue splashed around. I have always worked on the rule that "less is more" when using cyano-acrylate. It is a rule which has always served me well. Because "one drop holds a ton".
@StaplesandVine2 ай бұрын
Superglue is cheap and the joints need to be bullet proof for a 3D printed RC vehicle. This is not a static model, it has a lot of mass and I have to be sure the parts stay together. 3D prints always have a degree of distortion and larger parts more so. Peace of mind is well worth a few grams of glue. 'It's the only way to be sure...' 🙂

Moveable turret, i see options for the remote control of that XD Also, this thing got bigger than i expected. Another job nicely done ! Honestly though, if you were to spend more time on moveable turret, some more decals en detail and a bit more of a damaged paintjob, a window, perhaps make it a bit heavier, you could use this as a prop in a movie already. I mean, aside from the bouncing, this already looks like a very zoomed out shot over huge terrain.
