I get the theme now- To "glimmer" means to be a person that will leave a lasting impression long after death. The kind of person that lives on as a legend or even a god. This as a theme is characterized by the thematic split between Baby Boy, Heart Passion, and Barbie Girl. Baby Boy surrounds himself with fancy and high-end expensive aesthetics as an attempt to glimmer, all out of the fear he felt when he lost Pretty Baby. Barbie Girl is non-materialistic and urges Heart Passion to glimmer through actions and a virtuous personality, not by possessions and gaudy pursuits. The sun takes Heart Passion into favor upon seeing such a powerful example of perception, imagination, and empathy through Synesthesia. Telling the sun that Heart Passion is a man capable of having a glimmering heart. Hence the phrase "I ⭐ YOU". So with all that said, the core moral of STAR BALLAD is "Is a life worth remembering, and if so, why?"

I have a slightly different interpretation: The "glimmer" is something everyone has, some glimmer brighter, some dimmer, but all do, i see it as a general chase of happiness. A brighter glimmer is very attractive however, hence why people try to fake being gander than they are, chasing a more glimmering appearance through various means, money, fame, and more are a way to achieve their end. But blinding glimmer is sometime a drug, so someone who has "fame, sex, and money" tries to get even more of those things. One side of this is the Sun, the brightest thing in Star Ballad's universe (probably), self-propelled and uncompromising. On the other side is Baby Boy, the epitome of apparent Glimmer, having all material and immaterial possessions. But "glimmer" being the chase of happiness means if you fake it you only give the illusion to be happy. Baby Boy's happiness is love from Pretty Baby, something he can't have anymore, hence why he tries to fill the void with as much apparent glimmer as he can. My take on the moral of STAR BALLAD is "Don't let sorrow blind you from chasing a happier future". P.S.: I would love to read some more theories, so if someone has them please let's get a reply chain going.
