Cool video I subbed.. The rambler is so fun. I have bought most the ships in game, and I fly this the most. It's the closest to a MH60 Blackhawk in overall size. I feel like I'm doing an insertion every time I use it on RRfO or Pickers. The 2 SCU may be for a a cell in BH 2.0 but right now a crate for bunkers is plenty. Just need a sliding door like the Cutty and to repel from it.

They should have removed the rear ramp and made it have two sliding doors instead, that would have been really neat!

Rambler is one of my favorite ships in the game right now, a fun, cheap runabout for bunkers or when travelling to join another player's crew. Sometimes i just take it down to Hurston or Microtech, find a nice scenic spot to land, and kick back for a few minutes before getting back to the grind

This is confusing to me but I bought one anyways for a token at least. The gameloop for exploration isnt there yet, but by the way CIG is releasing their explorers, they all have more powerful scanning abilities. The scout has the scanner you need for exploring but not the range, while the Tumbler has the range but a small scanner. If better design would have been to put a mount up top, where you could add a fuel can, a scanner, or even a turret to the Cutter. The differences are so small between all three variants, it just seems like a money grab by CIG ... and I fell into that trap.

Tbh, there should have been two, maybe three variants of this ship. Cargo variant. Combat variant. Exploration variant. The exploration one should have been a blend of the rambler and scout.

This ship doesn’t have any more quantum fuel than the base model? Is that a bug? It says on their website it has more fuel.

Yes I believe that’s a bug as it’s supposed to have more with the extended fuel tank

The RSI website does say it has one axillary quantum and one axillary hydrogen. I’m hoping it’s a bug/ overlook or add an extra something cuz otherwise we have the fuel tanks on top for nothing. Or let me attach an p-52 on top!

For ease of flushing, I prefer a low-to-no fiber diet. That toilet is not flushing any significant bowel movements.

I mean, honestly.. I compared it to all the other ships in that class (100i, 125a, Mustang Beta, Piscies, etc) And it's just the best for : 0s Claim Time, Enormous QT Fuel, Living Space, Cargo(pulse), Bed, shower, it has everything

What about the scout?? Im thinking about getting the rambler Btw I already got C1 as a primary ship and the scout as a secondary for little missions so I dont care about the cargo at all or getting a vehicle on the cutter.

I feel like the scout is better than the rambler but once they fix the fuel amount on the rambler it could be more viable.

Yes better in cargo, it’s really the thing that sets it apart right now. But once fuel is fixed on the rambler that will also be something different between the two.

it's an incredibly bad design and downgrade from the original cutter in anything but optics, but then in such a miniscule way it's ridiculous to have this variant be the upgrade rather than the other way around. really disappointed with the cutter DS.

It’s a space RV. If you want to live in space and never go to port this is the way to go. When the game is fleshed out it will give you a place to log out, a place to clean yourself, a place to get food, and a place to store your harsh environment armor? Cuz they’ve said you won’t be able to fly wearing that. The rambler is the best way to stay away from port for under $110 and hands down the best way to do it while having an easy time landing

Yeah same, the interior change is needlessly big for what little it gives (poorly laid out) and for a huge loss to cargo/vehicle capacity- and at this point in time the fuel tanks are identical to the other variants.

When evaluating ships it is important to realize these are variants and not upgrades. These are designed for different jobs. The Rambler is a long range variant with the flexibility to explore harsher environments/other cargo holds with the suit locker and a very modest vehicle and cargo capability. This is adequate for its use case, the extra amenities make sense here. It is very much an adapted version of the base cutter for larger systems we'll have in the future. Looks to be a very strong contender as a ship to get someone from A to B on a budget, too. The Cutter base version has greater flexibility to move things/larger vehicles, which gives it value in a different way. Star Citizen is about picking the right tool for the job. The Rambler looks to be the best entry level explorer we have, and the value proposition will only grow as larger systems are added.
