Sadly they overplayed how big 3.23 really is as most of the important features will not be in other than the new map, no hangers, no freight elevators, no new cargo missions and no item recovery, this is hardly anything more than some quality of life improvements.

I was finally able to get on to play (i had an infinite loading bug on launch). I was able to participate in the Xeno threat finale and it was awesome to be a part of. The AI was BETTER (still not good) but it played surprisingly smooth for me. It was nice to see a slice of what this game can be in the future.

Yeah, EPTU 3.23 runs like dogshit. I get 500 ping in US servers, when im from the US. I barely have been able to retrieve my vehicle. Hate to say it, but its going to be another 3.18.

Very nice update video. I decided to try your graphics settings, and when I attempted to use your window setting or the Vulcan, my screen got so large that it was unusable. It turns out that my game was set to 2560x1440 and my desktop was set to 1920x1080 (I’m quite old and 1920 is easier to read). I changed my desktop to the same resolution as my game resolution, and your window setting and Vulcan both worked beautifully! I run an I-7 8700K CPU with Nvidia 2080 GPU and 32 Gb of ram and generally get an FPS of around 60 when I’m not in a city.

There a number of reasons for the Super bad lag. 1) the EPTU 3.23 was just out of Evocati, and CIG even admitted they released it too early, 2) everybody and his/her brother/sister who bought a subscription for a month we’re trying to “play” the new update. I suspect that only 10 to 15% are actually testing the features. 3) I suspect CIG devs are curing and pasting old code in to fix issues, and that old code is causing their own issues. You need to open the Issue Council (IC), and report every bug you encounter or confirm it if it’s already reported. Too many people are whining about “not being able to play” the update!

It's been a hilly ride for me, very hit or miss - not complaining mind you, just stating the facts.. I got in last night around 1am without issue and servers were super responsive but I was in a server that at the time I checked which was apx an hour after logging in, had only 35 people listed in chat (yes I counted, server count said 0/0). But most of the times I've been logging in I have had a slew of issues, ranging from falling through floors at Loreville and falling through the tram onto the rails - to be ran over and killed 30s later by an invisible tram, to flying through buildings at Orison on the tram there, wings blowing off my ship randomly and not being able to see my buddy, standing on the same spot as me, on the same shard.. Today I just spent 35 minutes trying to get an elevator to show up at Seraphim.. Typically I've spent anywhere from 5s to 5m to get a door to open or get out of bed when servers were running good.. it's an adventure lol.. Might go to wave 2 today, according to the CIG MOTD I just read.. Hope this warns some of you as what to expect if you get in.. All I got to say is, Welcome to hell, you're in good company my friends, see you all out there! o7

As a salvager, I really appreciate this. I wish more citizens shared in your common sense. If more would do so, we could clean up the servers for the community. But between inaccessible ships, and trolls, salvaging in the wild isn't very efficient. Imagine if many made their garbage mans job a pain in the butt. Or shot at him every time they should up to pick up trash. Don't f'k with the garbage men. Recently went in to clean up the junk around JT, so players had a clean place to land and work, and got blown up for it. Screw em! They can play in that mess.

The map issue is clear to see what is going on the upper levels of the base are overlapping the level your on so as you pan the camera round your moving fast over a closer map obviously they'll probably tweak it to hide upper levels in doors!

As salty as I am about the "Archetype rebalancing" screwing over all of my ships... seriously, my Origin and Crusader ships all now have the speed and handling of a Drake. And in the case of my 600i, the handling of a Hull-C. WT-ever loving-F? But... I'm psyched about the new customizer. Especially the beards. I haven't been clean-shaven since... '95? '96? And I haven't had less than a short beard since '97. So it's always weird to me to have an MMO character that's clean-shaven. Your new avatar reminds me of Amos.

I don’t believe so. For a few days I had no HUD on any vehicle, and I wasn’t testing Vulcan. In the latest patch notes, the devs said “missing HUD fixed.” That leads me to suspect it was an issue with the software since I had HUDs for the first few builds, then all of a sudden, I didn’t have a HUD. I was not using Vulcan at any time up until the latest update when I had a HUD again.

I personally wouldn't consider the ship price increases to be a "pay to win" strategy from CIG, but rather a "grind to buy"; which by the way, I feel would help to improve the level of game play, and the over all internal dynamics of the game where player interactions are concerned. However, I do feel this will cause an increase of the new annoying trend of players begging for thousands, and millions of aUEC in chat so they can "buy a new ship" (I have a feeling that most of these grifters already have tens or hundreds of millions of aUEC any way). For the players who choose to buy their ships in-game, the ship price increases may give them something to consider when deciding what "career path" they will want to engage in; such as hiring escorts for cargo hauling, or developing piloting skills or joining an org for piracy gameplay loops. As for players who choose, or have purchased their ships with real $$$, such as myself, the in-game ship price increases would be a non-issue, I feel. Yet, I would wonder, with the fact the in-game prices for ships will increase with 3.23, will the in-game insurance claim expedition prices increase as well, or will there even be an implementation of a base insurance claim price for that matter, and will this be a herald for the potential for CIG to raise the prices for all ships sold on the RSI website?

Ai still doesn't work, replication layer has added 5-10 minute loading screens to the game, Server performance is still garbage, most of the big ticket features have been cut, Vulkan initial performance is abysmal, the new clouds take a 4090 getting 50-60 fps and set it down to sub 10 frames per-second slide show levels. But you are not wrong its on another level, another level of total garbage.
