I would think that balancing is more of a nerf for the upcoming Starlancer. But, all ships will have to go through it eventually because of engineering gameplay. Would love to see a comparison of the starlancer and this ship! Great video, and again, Congrats on 10k!

Taurus is such a great ship. With cargo and high firepower, it's great for VHRT and ERT bounties, and can handle itself in a fight. I had one myself! But recently upgraded to an andromeda when I pledged for the MAX

When the Zeus Mk2 CL became a thing, it sounded like the perfect ship that I want! It looked like THE space trucker ship that can sometimes be brought to mining with a ROC. But the more I look into it, the more it's turning into a future buyer's remorse. It's a few dollars expensive but the Taurus seems like a way better purchase. The only gripe is that it has no dedicated kitchen or fridge. It'd be the perfect Space House.

I think there is a placeholder for a kitchen next to the head, I could be wrong. I suspect they will add one in the GSP. However, there will be craftable nutrient stations/cooking stations that you can place in your ships in the future. The Connie has ample free space to place such objects, especially on the bridge or the back cargo room.

I bought the CL when it was announced. Flying it now... I'd rather use my C1 spirit. It handles better and is faster. Even if it has less space, it's simply more fun to fly. Love the pilot guns better as well. I'm highly considering upgrading the CL to a Taurus. Looking at the flight profile, the pitch and yaw is about the same (31 vs 30), with the CL having much better roll (105 vs 60). I care much less about roll than I do about pitch and yaw. And no matter how great the reviews say the ship is, the CL layout seems cramped to me.

Just upgraded to this from the Zeus CL. A lot of reviewers saying the Zeus was great, but I prefer the C1 at that size personally. Taurus is my first larger ship and it's been a blast.

Just catching up on some of your vids, well done! The reason for the DPS on the Taurus (and the other Connies) was that it used to have 2x S5 on the upper engine nacelles and 2x S4 on S5 gimbals on the lower engine nacelles, underneath, so no ground clearance to put S5's. With the update they moved those lower guns to the top of the nacelles allowing them to be S5's.

IMO Taurus is the best daily driver in the game. So versatile, tough, good offense, and maneuverable enough to not be painful. Fury carrier, 2 nursa field hospital, mix and match. Do whatever you need. I say it's the biggest ship that's really soloable but shines with 2 people. Yeah it would be hard to maintain by yourself, but the toughness over something like a cutty or zeus I think more than makes up for that.

It seems the shield nerfs are part of the inclusion of armor. Dunno why they did the nerf before implementing armor, but it's clear that some ships (redeemer for instance) were hit harder than others with respects to shields because they are expected to be heavily armored.

One thing I might recommend having a look at is the emissions put out by each ship post 3.24.2 When I was testing out the engineering stuff in the Connie (after swapping out some components), I noticed my emissions were super high (40-odd km, *without* the quantum drive on, with it was something like 70-odd km) Going off of Erkul, the EM emissions for the Connie Taurus without component swap is roughly 32km, and while I don't think it's fully right in-game, I have been able to see enemy Connies at 20-odd km when doing Vaughn's and the like.

I'm looking to get the Taurus in LTI form. I know for a fact it would've been nice to have during the Save Stanton phase one quests. My nitpick with the ship is about entry-egress - the elevators are much less comfortable than, say, a ramp or staircase. I would also like to see the rear cargo bay become easier to load - say, via a lowering mechanism, or maybe even a rotating cargo grid plate a-la-B57 bomb-bay. I'm also stumped at how you would manually reload the missile bays on it - at some point they will need to make those crew-serviceable. Lastly, I want to see more lighting specifically on the main cargo platform - perhaps a row of floodlights on the ceiling of the cargo bay aimed downwards. It would create a cool effect from the outside when the bay is open, as well as make loading easier - especially when operating in the shadow of a planet or asteroid. All in all, the Taurus feels like the quintessential "hero ship" - it can do a bit of everything, you can fit your entire life as well as a bunch of shmucks- sorry, "plucky heroes" in it, comes with all sorts of useful bits and ends, and has enough firepower to make a corvette sweat. Gotta love it.

Man even with all these new ships coming out and competing for this exact role, its hard to beat the Taurus. It may be barebones but its rugged and tough and just gets the job done. Great multi-role daily driver. I have to admit though the vibe of the starlancer max has me sold. Cant wait to see your review of that gorgeous bird!

I won't change to Taurus from Corsair because I won't make the same mistake twice... Going to Taurus for Firepower wouldn't be smartest after Corsair nerf... I don't spend anything anymore before they fix the ships I already own (like Banu Defender has no storage, which is bad after they removed local inventory...)

Still one of my favorite ships, even though I just melted mine for a Starlancer Max. Gave up the bigger weapons for more shields, cargo space and a functional interior. Best use for the aft cargo area right now is to toss a 2scu box there so you have at least a little bit of internal storage until it gets its gold pass.

I use this ship to run my mining refined goods. It’s a flip between this (Pilot Guns) or upgrade to MSR (Pilot Speed) to focus on this role or simply as a daily driver but as this game gets more crew oriented I guess I’ll need to rethink this. This as well as the starfarer are two of my most anticipated redisgns, can’t wait for this as cig now as all the assets to do this so we have a decent idea on how it looks.

After taking some time away from SC, I recently did some store credit juggling and upgraded to a Taurus - best possible move for hauling in a medium ship (of course I would love a Hercules, but I'm not spending that much on another ship ^^). The cargo bay is a dream to work with - though I find the ship's tractor beam a bit awkward to handle, so instead I use an ATLS (which, despite being skeptical about it when it came out, I fell in love with). I wish they brought it a bit up to date with the current state of the game (yeah, and fixed those visual glitches - that cargo bay floor is a constant acid trip o.O), but it's still my first and only pick for cargo in its size/price range.

In my experience, the Taurus is a great counterpart to the Drake Corsair and I hope it stays that way. The Corsair is a great ship and is very well suited for piracy. So it makes sense to have a ship on the “other side” that knows how to defend itself against a Corsair. But I hope they give it a nice interior. And it would be nice, if the "hidden" cargo compartment had a second door to the outside. Or if the existing doors would be a bit wider.

I can't wait to see the Constellation ships getting a rework done with the current RSI "design language" as shown through the Zeus Mk II ships. At least, that's the dream but I'm afraid it may take till 2026 at least before that becomes a reality. With Drake, MISC, Crusader, Origin and RSI all having developed their own unique design language, it will be nice to get the older ships of those brands also reworked to match in the modern design language pipelines that are established now.

I have wanted a Taurus since backing in 2014. i have skipped over it for many reasons. Then i fell in love with the Corsair. I was done looking for a ship in the category. Now I have returned home I feel like. I even own an Andromeda figurine from like 2017 or so when they remade them. Shame they didn't make a Taurus because I would have bought that one.

For the weapons, it's best to make secondary turrets ballistics, because all the guns on the ship draw from the same capacitors. That way pilot guns have all of the available juice, and the turret gunner has their own ammo resource to expend.

I've flown the Taurus before and I loved it- HOWEVER. With engineering coming the thing that scares me is the viability of actual multi-crewing. RIGHT NOW- it's great. Such a beast, solo 4s5 guns with 168 Cargo at a good "mid" price range of $200.....However.... There's no telling what Multi-crew will do to the ship. What happens if it gets the Corsair treatment? No PDC's, maybe loses 2 of its guns. I've been trying to cross compare all the Cargo haulers for solo viability and Taurus is at the top by a mile except for the unknown variable of multi crew. The only thing that's stopping me from getting one right now (again, as I melted it) is the multi-crew "fear", i'd MUCH rather my entire fleet be soloable and NONE of the Constellation line are evne listed as anything other than 4+ crew ships on the store so I think that's where my fear really lies- the VERY high possibility that the Taurus WILL NOT be a soloable ship in the future. It's still amazing right now, but it's so hard to break through that barrier of not wanting to make a 'mistake' being left with it.

I'm pissed about the recent change of the cockpit UI especially in this ship. I hope the fact that the panels/screens are not seethrough anymore is just an oversight or a bug and they will change that someday again. Before the recent patch, the copilot was able to see through the panels outside, now the screen is in the way. I also liked the blue color way more than the purple. Also, the lights don't turn off anymore when you turn the power off, but that's probably a bug.

Love the Taurus. And I'm the oddball but I love all the struts in the cockpit. Gives it a very space freighter feel to me. Not a fan of big bubble glass on the cockpits, I want to feel like there is some structure keeping the death of space out there and me in the ship. I know there is some lore about the cockpit glass not being glass but transparent steel or something but space truckin still needs to feel like an old Peterbilt to me.

And the cockpit strut support bars! Hm...okay keep them, BUT...what if, they added a full coverage metal blast panel shield that closes like a mouth, view turns black, with a hexagon pattern ripple light effect across from one corner to the other, as a screen turns on into a full see through to the outside, with a very transparent hexagon pattern overlay. (This sounds like a military style feature now lol, but would be cool to have!).

I did like the Taurus. I had one for a bit before I upgraded it to the Corsair. The interior was the only thing I didn't like about the Taurus. I'm keeping my Corsair even after the nerf, tho and I ended up adding the Starlancer MAX to my fleet to be my cargo hauler / camper.

It is medium, ships like the c2 or, Hull E or catarpillar are heavy freight ships. These ships are classified by their cargo capacity into light, medium or heavy, not by their firepower.

The Connie Taurus (and the Connie line in general) has been my favorite ship all around. But next to her little brother, the Zeus, she’s really starting to show her age. I’m probably going to upgrade to the Starlancer Max when it drops. At least until Connie gets an interior overhaul. I have an Andromeda that I purchased in game which I can continue to use for high level bounties.

I had a taurus before. It is a great ship and no one can say otherwise but it gas a few big problems. One of tgem is the metal bars in tgexwindshield, it really making it hard to fly that ship. And something that can be solved with training is landing that ship. As more then half of ghe ship is up in the air at all times, in landings without being carful tha T ship can take a lot of nose dives. The outside airlock door opening so fast it can be used as a weapon lol

When I load my Taurus up I have to order shit in such a stupid order to fill the bed correctly and I never bother with the back section cause it's not worth the headache imo 4 x 24scu 1 x 16scu 14 x 4scu Laying the 4scu boxes in the bottom and stacking the bigger boxes on top makes unloading a bit easier but this all fits with th limited clearance from the missile racks inside. Love the ship though for how useful it is

Gotta say that I really Love Connie Taurus, what I'm not really fan of are redesigned MFDs (when compared to ZEUS's for example) ... I don't know right now when they are not transparent the pilot seet feels more cramped :D ... on the plus side it does not fry my eyes anymore like the old Overbright one :D

My issues with this ship are poor visibility up front, and the elevator never worked well. Stuff glitches through the elevator all the time. Also, the Ursa fits, but just.

I bought a Taurus ingame to replace my Corsair, which vanished into thin air when the last patch came out (happened before, expensive little bug haha). I really like the ship for the cargo capacity and the firepower. But i really hope CIG takes a good look at the interior when going for a gold pass. Living area could be made so much better and the bridge has a lot of wasted space. And please, please, please do something about those horrible struts. Other ships have already shown that you can use struts in the cockpit without blocking so much of your view.
