@Bob - Good to see a 'realistic' video about 4.0. I spent a day n a half, outfitting my Polaris with many 'good things' for org play (eg a happy gun rack is a full gun rack, and each crew room having armour, indiv wpns etc). I turn up a day later and although the ship was stored safely at Lorvllle, it's designation was now 'Destroyed'. There have been numerous errors (including not being able to upgrade any ship) that seem to be unique to an indiv players account. I hope this works for you 2nd time. Keep it real! Safe Skies. o7

Next time you fully load it up, unequip a missile in the load out manager, click save, re-equip it and click save again. This will save all the weapons and armor in the gunracks/storages. Even if the ship is a fresh claim or destroyed, each time you repair the ship, all of it will come back.

@@rayaan6951 That 'feature' was not well known when I did this... and for some reason my profile is not allowing any changes to ships to 'stick' ie modules/weapons or even skins. Waiting for a patch to the patch.

A friend of mine has went to these hangers to scout them out, and has gotten 3 free executive ships! Probably because of this exact problem. People show up with comp boards, door doesn’t open, they leave. Friend shows up and door is open and a ship waiting for him to claim.

yes i've had a mix bag with 4.0 I waited for a little time before trying it to see if it was ok. sometime its runs great and smooth but then something stops working. e.g. I was out in the vulture salvaging panels when my ship stopped moving in any direction ! so I bed logged out ok ship works but the panels I was working on had gone, ok I found some more but then when heading back to my hanger it was like a different game the hanger doors would only give me a 5 second game to fly in and land before closing as I was in a queue but no ship entered or left the hanger that I was looking at it is as if New Babbage only has 1 extra large hanger door and you have to wait . even though you can see 4 or 5 hangers. then it turned to Sh*t as in chat people was saying they could spawn a ship so I changed ships to a Zeus CL to give people a lift to a station. I coudnt get the hanger for ages forced my way out in the end with a half open / closing door . after this I tried to do the first Hauling mission PMSL I should have knew it woudnt work...... bed logged out again in the Zeus and back in this time the hauling mission worked!! So it looks like different servers have different problems for different people I dont think I changed Shards or did I ?

This has happened to me except it didn't kill me. I submitted a customer service complaint but haven't seen any substantive response yet. I believe the bug is concentrated on the 7th key. Basically, never insert the 7th key first, ALWAYS insert the 7th card last. You can see toward the end of your video it looks like the 7th key fell out. That is exactly what I saw when it bugged out on me.

Before they entered the door, which was missing, he looked at all the pipes. They were all green...nothing fell out. The hanger was bugged.

why are there no snatch and grab missions like invading a rig (station) then stelthfully stealing a ship and delivering it to a pirate outpost. more fun missions like that would be cool.

No red lights for the missing green. Black door. Won't use a hanger in this state. Thanks for the heads up, I have seen hangers in this state. This is eye opening. I am going to wait until I see red lights counting down with the green, if I don't I won't proceed. Sorry about your lost progress...I trust you got run through soon enough after this.

This is on par with salvaging for 2 hours and returning with the cargo and falling through the hangar floor. Log off depressed. HAHAHA That's the secret to Star Citizen. The 10% success rate gives you such a dopamine hit that you get addicted chasing that.

When you get a black screen, don't Alt+F4 or look for a button; just open your console and type quit so you don't get combat logged.

4.0 was fine on launch day. Now its unplayable. Global chat doesnt work. Missions dont work. Looting doesnt work. Bedlogging doesnt work randomly (lost 5 polarises full of loot due to it insisting im in a "landing zone" everywhere i went, and i just said f it and alt f4'd at 3am lol.) I cant even imagine grinding the CZ and then the exec hangar either not working or pulling a useless Syulen. Nope.

id love to finish one of the contested zone but every time we get to the end the servers break completely and we lose our keycards. at least we got to try it before all my friends uninstalled again!

I’ve gathered all the pads and done the executive hangars 4 times solo (so far) and every single ship ive got has been a syulen and I am starting to think that CIG has something against me

A lot of work for a ship that can be bought in game. F8 or F7A would be the only worthwhile rewards for that much work.

I don't put any money to this game I'm not gonna support it that way till it's playable it is a amazing game but it seems like the devs don't really care I get it it's cool they worked ove Christmas but really doesn't seem like they did anything to make things better

@ I don’t know how long have you been playing star citizen but that’s not how development work, the team that work on making ships doesn’t work on bug fixing or core tech development, the reason why it’s buggy it’s because core tech where messing from the game ( server related ) Only on the last patch we got basically the most important tech actually in game, that’s also why they are now focusing on fixing bugs and optimization because only now make sense, if they would have focused on fixing the game before developing the core tech then they would have to redo the same work again and again every time that one of these core features get added, most of the bugs and optimizations problem are server related like NPC not reacting, inventory not working, desync , lag etc etc

They care, but behind the scene my best bet is they signed an NDA so they cant go public about how the codding of this game needs constant man power on it otherwise it just implode.

⁠@@deutschhhhh6922 he’s right. it’s 40 USD to play the alpha. the ships being “expensive” is a non-issue because most can be earned in-game. the only reason people buy other ships is because they have disposable income and want to support the game/have a cool ship right from the jump. what IS an issue is CIG’s development cycle. they have a history of overpromising and under-delivering, especially early on in star citizen’s development. instead of working on the shiny new ships they should be pouring all of their focus into the rest of the game.
