In todays video we take a look at star citizens latest starter ship the Gatac Syulen. This ship is is a flying work of art both mechanically and functionally.

Star Citizens Gatac Syulen. What a impressive ship! This is a serious contender for best starter ship, boasting excellent firepower, mobility, cargo capacity, bed, suit locker, gun rack, bathroom and Xi'an alien tech to name but a few nice features. Well the cutter and the titan can carry small vehicles wich this ship cant. Its also... mahoosive. It looks like the eifel tower and is almost the same size aswell 😂

I'm pretty sure this ship has a Jump Drive. The 85X even has a jump drive I believe. I can't imagine them giving a tiny runabout like the 85X a jump drive but not a ship like this with such a huge fuel tank that was obviously meant to travel and explore...

Go into red mode! On the corner of some of those switches within the rooms of the Syulen, are corner switches [ ! ]. Find the combination to turn the cabin lights red. I believe the combinations are standard purple, red, and white

Did you manage to discover the light switches? The cockpit lights change the colours of the pilot console. Brilliant ship!

One downside is its size/crosssection and only the two small shields. Hope they keep the high mobility. Any other point on this ship is just superb. Thx for your vids... Keep up the good work

Great video as aleays, you're a machine! She is a real beauty inside and out, love this new design. For your scenario you outlined with delivering supplies within a fleet during battle, I think you may be better served with a C8X since it will fit inside more ship hangars and also lets you take a few passengers in addition to the cargo in a pinch.

Thanks JL, yeah there are other ships better prepped for the job of fleet ferrying . I do however think the ship would have a role in a fleet. Scout or even recce vessel. Its just so Kewl ha ha ha

@@Spaceman-PIN Yeah, I agree. It seems to carry a lot of fuel and could be an interesting escort ship perhaps? I bet it might fit in the Odyssey too - I watched the ISC Odyssey grey box again and there is a lot of vertical space in that hangar. 🙂

It's an intriguing design but I don't like how you have to land it at all. It's bad enough trying to land normal craft but to land this thing you have to you have no choice but to go in to third person moved move your camera around to the top position which will be looking at it from behind once you rotate up into Landing position and then instead of having to go down like you would on a vehicle you actually have to back up which is really unintuitive when backing up you're using way too much throttle and slam it down. As I have my twist access for up and down on my controller I give it way too much thrust.... The other problem is when I spawn the thing it is almost always in hanger 4 or 5 and that door is just barely big enough to get the thing out of in fact I clipped the door trying. At again to take off you don't go app you go forward and then you have to rotate in and enclosed hang your down and then you Have to thread the needle to get out that door it is not a fun experience. I don't do combat because I suck at it but it does look like it would hold its own and it is very nimble once You get out in a way from an enclosed area. It's just taking off and landing or a pain as is the aesthetic is so radically different it takes a lot of getting used to where everything belongs

love the ship, but why compare it to the BMM? Banu is not Xi'an. the defender is banu. this ship gives us a look at what we will see with the Railen and any other future Gatac/large Xi'an ships

I'm not comparing it with bmm. I'm saying if cig can make alien ships as cool as this one, then the bmm should be amazing.

Not sure why people like this ship so much. The elevator feels clunky, and I hate having to use an elevator in my starter ship when I already gotta deal with elevators at every station and city that exists.
