Got Star Citizen'd last night by daring to wear subscriber gear doing a simple meet up with a friend, flying simply from New Babbage to Calliope. Flew out to the OM, set the waypoint to where he was on Calliope. Turned the ship to QT to the next marker, aaaaaand QT'd into the planet. Gear was below the surface and unrecoverable. Star Citizen. Why won't you just let me love you?

yea honestly, if its purchaseable in game, you should literally be able to restock everything that was in your ship for getting out quickly, or at least certain things like food/drink, ammo, weapons, armor that was stored (in the armor racks ideally whenever that becomes a thing), it would certainly make dying a whole lot less punishing because you could just quickly restock a ship and go back out to do it again.

PTU 4.0.1 needs to go live as fast as possible. The current state is UNPLAYABLE. Ships despawning in Hangars, Elevators killing PPL, Inventory not working properly, Quantum-Travel-Borked, Missions not working etc... after 800+ Million just an embarassment

yea I understand the splitting of the monetary rewards, which sucks when you split it enough times it makes the missions pretty pointless unless you want rep, but splitting the rep is NOT a good thing in any form, what? just because more people did the mission means you have gained less "respect" for me for completing the mission you asked of me? No, that does not make sense to me, probably in my opinion we could keep it like how it was initially on 4.0 preview release, however have the missions scale to the # of players doing said mission, that would make sense to me. like everyone gets the same rep and money but everybody that joins the mission that would normally spawn maybe i dunno, 5 ships, maybe it'll spawn a ship or two for everyone that joins depending on the difficulty of the mission shared? It would certainly make bounty hunting missions a lot more exciting if instead of fighting maybe 5 fighters or bigger ships you with a crew of 5 end up fighting 10 ships or more? it would be interesting to see it scaled.

I think the economy updates have me more excited than anything else below stability and playability. A player economy will lead to player owned and operated kiosks, which will eventually lead to player owned shops, the BMM, Etc.

@ it is planned. But likely not in 4.01 But the economy updates in 4.01 are prerequisites towards this goal yes. This has been planned from the get go, but was teased in last year’s Citizen Con. CIG is actually planning into these systems now, hence the economic updates in 4.01.

In addition to those mentioned here, the biggest bug i keep running into is the infinite inventory loading bug. I can't loot boxes (especially player store-all boxes) because it gets stuck loading infinitely at 0% then my entire inventory becomes inaccessible because of it.

I want to see one of each mission type (at least) available at every location throughout the verse, an almost full overhaul of mining and mining missions be introduced, the ability to manage our stored freight (combining SCU boxes into larger crates), and a serious competent fix to the freight elevators, hangar elevators, and other bugs that stop gameplay dead in its tracks.

Small changes to allow other game loops to be accessible would be nice. For example, I want to try salvaging but I don’t have a vulture. I bought the Cambio SRT and multiple canisters thinking I could sell the RMC I scrape for profit. Except I can’t… the full canister sells for the same as an empty one. Seems like a super easy change and would allow more people to play with salvaging

I’m all for more missions, but some kind of filtering and tabbing is required if we’re going to flesh those out . Scrolling through 150+ hauling missions is rough.

Missions. Don't split rep, or like you said only split it slightly. In terms of rewards though, give an incentive to play together. If a mission is shared with one person, Jen then split the rewards 50/50 and add 10%. If you split it with two people, split it in thirds and add 20%. If you split it with three people, split it in quarters and add 30%. And so on. Maybe that's not the perfect way to do it, but I think it's better than just splitting it evenly.

I have had the exact opposite experience with mission payout. When you get one or two levels into the reputation for a group, the payout increases an insane amount. I haven’t done everything (obviously) but even cargo, with 2/3 of the missions turning out foo-bar, earned me 3 mil in like 4 or 5 hours total across the last two days.

The biggest thing they need to fix is to make sure all players show up for the mission. Right now you can have a group of people each doing their own mission for faster rep and money.

Idea: items claimed via insurance cause a 24 hour timer on items they replace. E.g. Someone steals your ship. You do a claim on it and get new ship. The thief has 24 hours to hack the insurance to change owner of stolen ship to them permanently (at a cost). If you don't do this before timer end, the ship/item explodes irrevocably. Apply the above to items as well.

I'm a little surprised with how long 4.0.1 is taking to release, or at the very least, how little info has been communicated by CIG. Leading up to 4.0, I remember reading constant updates about the PTU status and testing and everything they were doing to bring us 4.0. Now it feels like radio silence by comparison, and we just have to sit and wait.

I agree on all of this. It’s been a frustrating start to playing the game with things being buggy and glitchy. Graphically my computer should be able to handle this game with ease, but it often feels jarring just changing the camera angles.

I can agree that spliting the aUEC payout is sensible, the budget is the budget. I also agree that it might make sense to slightly reduce Rep when in a group, but dividing it evenly is ridiculous. Maybe something like -5% per person _beyond the recommended team size._ So many missions tell you that you're responsible for providing a ship _and a crew_ and then penalize you for bringing them.

i love mining, prefer it over salvaging. just feel like with all the effort you need to put in and then still take it to refinery etc etc. the profit is so bad compared to salvaging and lets say hauling where you can make 350k after one run. they really need to make it worth it again. they need to increase profits if they want people to consider it

Getting more players into a shard right now should absolutely not be a priority. It's hard enough to get out of your hanger as it is and there simply are not enough Mission locations at the moment. I believe that 500 to 600 is pretty good right now

People are talking about stocking guns on ships. I would want that too. But I'm also thinking it would be nice if I could have a station restock food/drink/ammo/medpens/etc... as well. Then I could actually outfit my ship. Those items are a lot more available in different places so it would be great to include those types of items. To me that would be better than stocking/restocking guns as I could have a stash for all the crew that come on board.

Crafting and insurance does not go together. It will always be easier to pay for an item, even double or triple the price than unlock the blueprints, look for needed materials, do necessary upgrades reaserch and finally craft it. The first few guys will make a huge profit until few weeks later we make enough copies for the item to loose any trading volume. One way around this would be for the insurance to cover only items that were destroyed along with the ship. Meaning if you gave it to someone or lost it to pirates you wouldn’t get it back and you would have to craft it yourself. That however would make lots of people angry or confused.

I want several things honestly and specifically 1. I want a consistently working mission system, doing a bounty or hauling mission only at the end to find out you're not going to finish because something along the way told you that you didn't fulfill the mission objectives even though you did complete the mission objectives just plain sucks. Also those bunkers where it asked me not to hurt my allies and non-combatants, those need to be fixed because when I'm getting shot by a "criminal" npc or a "non-combatant" and when I retaliate appropriately which is blast the ever living crap out of them with my own guns in a proportional manor and then proceed to fail the mission because they were the "wrong" targets to shoot. Unless things have changed in the criminal bunkers, NOONE is a non-combatant 100% because I've seen those same "non-combatants" pick up a gun and shoot me. And another annoying bug is Bounties above Armistice zones, when the enemies fly too close to an armistice zone they get weird, and unkillable as long as they are in the Armistice zone. 2. Working "infrastructure" you know, elevators that won't get stuck, ASOP Terminals that will bring up your ships (preferably not on top of any other ships or yeeted into the void at random upon summoning them) 3. Industrial gameplay that honestly should have been fixed long ago but still has bugs, like the scanning issues with mining, or even trying to haul cargo in a Hull C, but finding out that you paid for cargo that literally won't load onto the Hull C. Or even Salvaging, I want more to do in Salvaging as well, I would honestly love to be able to break up those extra large ships into even smaller chunks because the chunks they break into can fill up my reclaimer 3-4x if I actually believed the UI. 4. Better FPS Support AKA Item Insurance and reclamation, like I had no problems paying for my weapons back upon dying with the "duping" bug because as far as I am concerned that's me paying to restock what I've lost rather than duping. Yes people whined and complained that it was duping, but to me it was a taste of potentially what CAN be in the game, I mean it wasn't handing the stuff out for free so I can't see it honestly as a 100% exploiting thing since you actually had to pay to restock said items. Can it get further refined? I sure hope so, it obviously wasn't the perfect solution for some things but it certainly was a nice step in an "unintended" direction that would actually make me feel good about using my "premium" FPS items in game.

They really need to get engineering, base building, and crafting on the EPTU. I get they want to focus on stability for live but they need longer test periods for these new features. Every new feature release always breaks something so waiting until it is "stable" before the next feature will take years with what they recently showed off.

Completely agree with your thoughts BoredGamer, CIG need to make the day to day "motions of the game" work consistently well. Being able to walk around a city, go on the trams, buy items etc should all be smooth processes and lag free. I think a clearly defined market catalogue is something we desperately need in order to easily see where items/ship components are available (and their stock quantity) in game. I do think that trying to force players to work together wouldn't be a good idea though, yes it's an MMO but players should not be locked out of doing missions for specific rewards because they're solo. I think the "difficulty" could be altered ie fewer combatants to fight while still providing a challenge to make the reward worth the effort for solo and group play. If groups are doing these missions rep should be earned individually, currency split evenly an everyone should have access to the end of mission reward. Not just one person from the group (if that is the case currently, sorry if not I cant recall off the top of my head).

The rare weapons and armors that are only found in CZs just need to be buyable but rep locked. Then, you can't insure gear, or components that you can't buy (rep locked for you). Duping issue fixed. Makes it so that it's pretty cool find if you loot some of this stuff - but be careful with it, because if you can't buy it yet, you'll lose it forever if you lose it. Obviously, I think anything you purchase with real money should always be insurable or have the ability to get back in some way. But rep isn't fully in the game yet. I think what they've chosen to do is an "okay" stopgap in the meantime. I guess it makes sense for them, given they've stated they are balancing economy and wanted to see gameplay effects of these items being scarce.

Thigs I would like to see in 4.0.x, elevators from hospital directly to hangers, since there are already elevators in the hangers that go directly to the hospital. Faster traveling rounds for larger weapons especially manned turrets. Make the hammerhead useful. More random NPC engagements. Player shops. Fire 🔥 and lastly, give the Cutlass Blue, C8R, Nura, and Care-apin sirens, I wanna hear the weewoo weewoo when being pulled over or rescued

I believe the cap is 600 now. I understand splitting rewards. I don’t necessarily mind not splitting rep. Maybe have a percentage for reputation. Everyone in a party of 3-5 gets 80% the rep, 70% for 6+. Instead of placing so many items in loot crates. I would have preferred they left fps weapons in the shops, but had upgraded versions of them & components in the crates and contested zones.🇺🇦🇭🇹🇵🇸

With the economy there still seems to be a lot of making it up as they go along. It makes exploits seem much more dire than they probably are. We are better served with them being promptly reported and dealt with than the whole 'ban' threat approach.

Ship parts is going to be an interesting one, I dont want to keep having to fly across the system to change out standard ship parts. Id rather pay extra with insurance to get those parts. Rare ship components is a different story, maybe you need to gather materials to get it made, or they have limited in stock.

As a former EVE player (and dev, lol) I really love the player driven economy. I don't think I'd want SC to go *THAT* far, where literally every ship you buy in EVE is sold by players, made by players from materials mined by players. EVE is amazing, and the economy makes for great long term corp gameplay, but I like being *PART* of SC and not have to fully commit to enjoy. So the "player influenced economy" sounds good to me, even though there's no details yet on what that actually is.

I could see why everyone might not get 100% of rep. You could be AFK and still get rep from being in a party. If the missions change the criteria of completion would make a difference. Example, all participants need to go to the site of the mission before mission will spawn. If all level of missions pay out the same amount of rep then you can run a 3 or 4 man group that would complete VLRT, LRT, MRT and HRT to grind out reputation.

Would like to see them focus on getting the little things done and killing the bugs. Inventory sorting and stacking for instance, I should not have 30 single mags of the same type in my inventory, sort and stack button should be a thing. You should be able to sell by the stack also. Working armor racks that let you equip a load out would be awesome. Adding a rover to a called ship without having to go through the motions necessary to load it up,

Can't wait for 4.0.1 100% want to be able to have a saved load out on my ship so the weapon/armor racks are always stocked. Then you get them back when you claim your ship

More loot! Valuable cargo and items are more interesting than just grinding mission rewards. Gotta give people a reason to look around and engage other gameplay beyond just blowing things up.

I agree with what you said with everything and with insurance, the ship loadout should cost like 10% to 20% more then cost of item, this is the cost of convenience of having your ship just as you like it, the other idea which would be harder is to have a unique ID number for everything which mean think cant get reproduce if it in the vers.

If we can restock ammo and equipment, I want players to have it in stock. Perhaps offer using stock from another location at a cost and time delay, to represent NPC moving the stuff. Ship insurance should only cover basic shell and base components, until we get custom insurance systems in place. I think another thing CIG should focus on this year.... Multiple characters on 1 account with multiple game packages. It was suggested how it would work in the past and would encourage us to spend more 😉

I will be ok with playability focus and no new things added if it means that CIG will fix elevators, trams, refuel screen, NPC behavior etc where I can accept mission and finish it, logoff in my ship, travel across systems and spend millions on cargo/mining without worry that I will lose everything because of a bug or server crash. Also it would be nice to get few more "designer" missions like the covalex investigation and not just generic wipe out bunker missions. Few missions like this for every loop would go a long way.

Can't wait for 4.0.1, really need some more playability. Ships not spawning/hangars not responding is infuriating.

All I want is for what they’ve got so far to work. I appreciate not adding new stuff would be a terribly bad move but if they went to extremes and spent all year just optimising and bug squashing I would not be upset in the slightest.

A built-in player trading/selling UI would be fantastic, and clear up a lot of the motivation to get items by duping them. Hopefully. Who knows, probably not...but it would be great to buy/sell from other players.

After grinding up to VHRT bounties you can make a ton of money... BUT ERTs are now insanely hard
