I am beyond hype for this game now. It has elements of prior ac games like the use of assassins "similar" to brotherhood/revelations but much more focused on doing specific tasks on benefiting you but then again have the ally system to help you in combat. With Star Wars Outlaws we had to wait like 3 quarters of a year to play the game with the patched improvements, which in my opinion should been implemented at launch. Ghost of Tsushima, that's what they're trying to emulate here. Rise of the Ronin also tried to emulate Ghost but with all the micro mechanics involved in a modern team ninja title. All that Rise of the Ronin flair will be left out for this. The combat also looks very similar to Ghost, slower and a lot more deliberate and probably a hell of a lot of delay like Ghost. Ronin nailed that responsiveness in combat but unfortunately it's obviously the least pretty of the 3.

The removal of the "eagle system" and the return to scanning the environment independently from the ground or higher places is something I didn't know I had been waiting for. The same goes for discovering new places that you simply have to come to, rather than just syncing a sync point. Shadows in general seems to hold the player's hand very firmly, and I very much appreciate this. I wonder how the eagle vision looks like in this game

You know what I realized? Japan's landscape is perfect for them to add back tree parkour. I mean they could just add in a few parkour routes here and there with some climbable trees, some big trees, small trees - some synch points; you know what I'm saying? Like Assassin's Creed 3, just put them around the map; it's very uneven, lush, very mountainous - lots of verticality in just how the world is shaped. It would be perfect.

It's already confirmed that the next mainline game is Assassin's Creed codename Hexe, which is 16th century Germany. Then the rumors are the next mainline gane is codename Nebula, which is supposedly South America/India/Mediterranean... but Nebula and the setting are all rumors for now, while Hexe is confirmed by Ubisoft

Or a game set in the apartheid era with an Indian protagonist. I would love to see how the people who are completely fine with Yasuke as a protagonist - because it adds "a fresh outsider's perspective to the setting" etc, react to that. Something tells me they will not be as open-minded.

I’m still not quite sold on Yasuke. He seems to have so many disadvantages compared to Naoe except combat. I will definitely be playing Naoe in all missions I don’t have to use Yasuke in until I’m swayed

I already hate having to play as jackb because he doesn't fit the stealthy assassin vibe with his combat. Now we get freaking hulky guy who can't even parkour. This is why I hate dual protagonists system

I'm really glad Yasuke & Naoe feel so different Gameplaywise. That was a big Issue for me in Syndicate. Jacob & Evie felt so similar that there might as well be only one.

The failures of Skull&Bones and Star Wars Outlaws were apparently necessary, because it looks like Ubisoft has finally got its act together. AC Shadows looks great, Naoe's gameplay looks great, it's nice that there is meditation, writing, training, and tea. Of course, I still don't trust Ubisoft, we'll see at the premiere, but I'm optimistic 😊

@@DerriousGamez i like the samurai, I'm just not interested in his gameplay, i like the shinobi gameplay but i would just prefer to be male which is why i hope they add a dlc or something for extra characters, assassin creed is never historically accurate so it wouldn't be a problem
