I've been playing 4.0 preview, I've had some issues, but nothing too bad. Since they said the PTU won't be carrying over to the preview/live, I'll stay in 4.0 until 4.0.x goes to live. I'm just having fun in the game. Just over a month in so far!

This. Not many will jump into the PTU, like your self, they will be staying on 4.0 preview. With it being a full reset, people are still rebuilding thier fleet and wallets, along with rep too.

God I hope this patch helps, when I do get in the game. When I go to an outpost, AI are responsive and put up a good fight but slowly my game just slows down to the point that interacting with anything takes minutes at a time. Can’t even get back in my ship to leave.

On 4.0 my fps is much better, AI has improved alot, much less teleporting but there are still lots of server lag, bugs like random ship exploding, elevators and hanger calling problems, despawning cargo and equipment. Seems like cig has gone two steps forward one step back in general in my opinion but still moving forward

If they care about playablity, they need to rework the "Insurance" thing so that it's not being used to duplicate things, only replace lost gear you had. And put that back in the game. IMO that was the best quality of life improvement they had made since fixing the map.

You're paying for the ship parts, it's a good AUEC sink, it could use some increased prices for the unique T1/ non shop items.

I have ran into a few issues here and there in the 4.0 preview, but not as many, as often, or as crazy as other people have been unfortunate enough to get. I am very hopeful that 4.0.1 will make it playable for everyone. As for bringing in new stuff, since this is the year of playability, I hope they get the game fully stable and working before they try to add more

the issue right now with the sub flair is you cannot get it back, and so some of the sub flair seems boring, but once they figure out the database portion of retrieving sub flair and paid items a lot more ships with decor will feel a bit more lived in than just the static clutter they have by defualt.

Yeah, we probably won't see any additional features until they get to 4.1, I'd expect that to be sometime near march. Until then I bet they will just focus on getting what we have in 4.0 preview to be fully into "live" status and just trying to nail down the basics of that before tossing engineering and such into the live game.
