Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.
I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

Tried out live today to check on IAE. I couldn't even get the elevator to go to the show floor. That being said, at least I got Mac videos to keep me happy.

So weird, I have had zero problems getting to IAE, but spaceport elevators are busted. I just park a ship at commons entrance, go to the show and leave via commons.

For me the announcement of the Wipe was fair. But it also took a lot of air out of my enjoyment of IAE. I was planning to make a lot of cash from the IAE ship rentals. But with the wipe coming up that's quite pointless. So It's good to hear 4.0 is improving. I'd love to play with progression.

I was planning on upgrading my dual sticks and mouse and keyboard desk mounts I got from Predator Mounts to the rail system from they had just developed when the owner of the company dropped off the face of the Earth. It doesn't help that Monstertech raised there prices when they lost there competition. I'm not about to replace every one of my mounts just to have a rail system now.

I suspect that for most people that pledged to SC - 4.0 must work properly for the first time ever, otherwise our interest is waning a bit faster than in the past. SC really does feel constantly broken in the live PTU and in the test servers. The servers and the client finally need to work together :P

Yeah this year has been abysmal with respect to stability. Add a fair bit of half-baked but large changes implemented and it makes for a pretty terrible experience.

@@koolerpure Yeah I'm in deep on this project (got the "free" F8C to prove it), but I'm getting concerned. Hopefully they will start working on the vision for the game once 4.0 and server meshing come in because at the moment it really is lacking a coherent "feel". Flight and FPS combat are very arcady. Industrial gameloops are, in some cases, very intricate. Prep times for any activity are long. Death is punishing, and will only become more so. PvP is everywhere, yet there is no system to regulate it. The game is just a mess of disparate ideas and visions at the moment, fingers crossed it will start to improve once the final major tech hurdle is passed.

Will this cause a game wipe of all items stored and ships bought in game? I know that other wipes only made my ammo and sustenance items disappear, and not ships, weapons, and armor. I'm curious..

I'm so over this Game or should i say Demo a tiny bit of reward occasionally for Broken Gameplay throw in PC Breaking issues with required specs constantly being upgraded it's time for me to let the dream go.... I'm done with SC & the constant hassle's so i guess it's farewell to you as well mate I've followed the progression for many years now & i can't take any more of this Broken Arse Rubbish that will NEVER be released in its entirety so long as they constantly implement content that causes major issues along with the many people that will defend the game even when it's a total dog's breakfast!👋

I don’t think the server error coincides with the JG. It’s happening to everybody no matter where we are in the verse it’s not exclusive to those on same server as the JG. Hopefully they can greatly reduce this because it’s kinda impossible to even leave hangar

Every release CIG has put out has been a buggy dumpster fire for most users, why is 4.0 gonna be any different? Login to the current version(3.20.3) and look at the live chat. It's full of people daily bitching about SC bugs that make the game unplayable for them yet they still log in for some reason to the chat. FOH if you think Chris Roberts is gonna wave a magic wand and all is gonna be OK from 4.0 on. Played the game 9 yrs and its comer a long way but still a waste of time 15%-25% of the time with missions that dont spawn or pay.
