I have a similar situation. This just may work. Thanks Space Bro

Nice, I'm about to do something similar for SC in my home theater. A wireless TKL keyboard would solve your cable problem and may give a more comfortable width.
@Thaleans5 жыл бұрын
Yes, even with a TKL keyboard mouse feels a little bit far.

Great concept, and very nice results. If I may offer some "Woodworking 101" Only use a belt sander for very rough sanding or shaping, not finish work, it is too aggressive. For finish sanding use either sand paper with a sanding block and sand WITH the grain of the wood, or use a random orbital sander.
@FamilyHomeTheater5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yup, learned that lesson. I'll use the orbital next time.

Pretty slick! I like it.
@Rjoots5 жыл бұрын
you should use a torch after pouring the resin. that takes all bubbles out and smoothes everything. no sanding needed;-)

Hello what was the size of the plywood?
@FamilyHomeTheater5 жыл бұрын
I believe it as 3/4 inch. It is a piece of shelving wood from a hardware store.

I've literally just bought these exact 2 flight control sticks for star citizen. Going to get it this week. Any chance you'd do a video on your bindings? And what you think of them?
@FamilyHomeTheater5 жыл бұрын
I haven't had any issues with the Extreme 3D Pro, other than it gets a little sloppy after a while. Nothing a larger deadzone won't fix. For the T16000, it works really well, but I did have to disassemble the stick and clean out the Z rotation potentiometer. It seems that is the weak link in the T16000 design. Also, I cut the power to the LEDs in the base as they get annoying. For keybindings, they change it seems with each new quarterly release. And I'll probably change them up again with the new flight model. But I will probalby do more Star Citizen videos in the future.

@@FamilyHomeTheater thanks for the reply! I bought them second hand, so may clean them up too, that was one thing I was prepared for. I have a huge desk and I'm not into screwing them down just yet. I like to reposition a fair bit when gaming for extended periods. I think I'll also change bindings a lot until I find the balance I like. Starting afresh, used to planes, but may try something different.

@@FamilyHomeTheater how has the extreme 3d held up over time?
@FamilyHomeTheater3 жыл бұрын
@@TheBinklemNetwork Better than the M16000. The 16000 started having a z axis issue where I had to take apart the stick and clean up the potentiometer that does the twist. But the 16000 is better on X and Y than the extreme 3d, which loosens up over time. Overall I have bigger deadlines for the extreme 3d, but I've never had to take it apart for maintance reasons.

Can you say patent ? Nice work. How many hours did you spend on it?

I'll have to double check, but when I put all the raw footage into Premiere Pro I want to say it was at least 20 or 30 hours worth of video.

Omg this is wonderful! I felt so satisfied watching this... like this should be on r/oddlysatisfying or something. I was watching your other video (Home Theater Tour) and pleasantly recognized at the end of the video that you play Star Citizen too (I thought I recognized something before that when I saw the part you showed the joysticks). Btw, you might want to add a bit of cushion at the bottom of the table, so it would rest more comfortably on your legs and reduce pain on long gaming sessions, like in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4a7h5KchZuJiKs
