I do like the layout of the interior and how thoughtful it was done. Still not a fan of the exterior though, but that would be for CIG to work out using the Crusader style guide. The center atrium glass ceiling is what really stands out to me though. Would like to see that glass resemble the shuttle at Orison. Appendix

Passenger transport as a career in Star Citizen is interesting -- because it can encompass anything from a Cruise Liner, an Airliner, a Taxicab or ... hell, even a Search and Rescue "recover lost person from wilderness" style mission is basically the same thing. As an ... appendix ... to all of your thinking though, please consider that players can be passengers too. Sometimes I've been off flying with someone else, and find myself far from home with no ship. I just want to get back home to where my ships are without having to claim one and lose all it's cargo. I want to head to the passenger facilities and book myself a ticket back from Area 18 (or wherever the hell I've ended up) to New Babbage (or wherever my home base is this patch). Why exclude me from playing passenger?

*Fhloston Paradise intensifies* the 007 casino royale, hitman style misison types this brings to mind is juicy. This also makes me want to see an RSI or Consolidated Outland style people mover. Your coach class flyer that gets the most amount of people to and from major planetary hubs. Exciting.

Like the idea of having usable areas during a long voyage. I know a lot of roleplay groups in SC that will want this level of interaction. Weird story, but we once picked up a walker as a medivac case who had his appendix on the opposite side.

This looks to me more like a river cruise ship than a passenger jet. A river cruise ship is not necessarily a bad thing, but I bought my Genesis Starliner with the expectation that it will be Star Citizen's version of a passenger jumbo jet. A cruise ship could actually be cool, but it isn't what I'm personally looking for. I'll pass on this.

I have zero interest in one of these ships, but I'm still enjoying this series. Something you may want to consider looking into, though. You mentioned you didn't want a water feature due to the ship moving. I recommend taking a look at Point State Park in Pittsburgh, Pa. Specifically the fountain. Something that I can't find mentioned anywhere, but all locals know about is that the flow of the fountain is now controlled by automatics. There is a weather sensing station right in the park that keeps track of everything, including wind velocity and direction, and automatically controls the flow so that almost all the water falls back directly into the pools.

I like how much work you put into this concept, it's just so far removed from everything else Crusader has done that I have a hard time seeing CIG depart this much from the previous design. It is very cool. Could be a cool shoutout if they do another brochure and have alternate designs in the appendix.

Those ideas are not bad but the resulting gameplay "loop" would propably be too much Setting up some check- or dropdown-boxes from some screens appendix - there should be a way to make those management decisions more physical.

Appendix ... yeah there is no easy way to use that in a sentence about starships ^^. Honestly i cant see them to so radically redesign the outside of the ship. And with that mostly fixed most of your changes wont work. Another thing is if the starliner will be more like a airplane or more like a Ocean Liner. Both have vastly different requirements and your design goes more the Oceanliner/floating hotel route. Still valid points and neat design ^^

With respect to the cargo boxes, have them represent the passenger luggage: if they don't reach the intended destination at the same time as the passengers then there should be a major hit on customer satisfaction (I know I'm not happy when I get to Chicago and my suitcase is in Seattle. Science does have reasonable hypotheses as to the purpose of the appendix... the Kardashians, not so much.

Appendix. Ray, I love your videos, and have been watching for some time now, but my man. This is not it. I don't want to critique without some creative feedback. From a hospitality point of view, you've missed the mark, and it seems you haven't seen some of the previous content CIG have released about the Starliner. What you've made is akin to a transport Caterpillar, which in the scheme of things would be interesting, but this redesign does nothing to say, "Crusader." Instead of individual suites, give each first class traveler a holo-pod to personalize their experience and maximize space. The entire lower deck should be isolated for components, cargo, vehicles...etc. The middle deck will be your passenger level broken up by class, and amenities so the crew doesn't have to travel back and forth so often. Could you imagine a long flight walking back and forth the length of the ship hours on end serving people? Get rid of the glass cockpit; what is this? You want that placed in a position safety and control. Not above the passengers like some side show attraction, making intentional design choices to make the crew's feet visible seems like an outstanding stretch. Whereas, you could just position the cockpit at the ship's forward and allow the captain to roam the ship when he's taking a break. Top deck would be for crew living quarters, for long trips, so the crew can split their shifts and take breaks, and where they can also store additional commodities for the passengers. If you're looking inspiration, look to the old streamliners from the 40-50''s, and the current day luxury Airbus models. You're giving an experience akin to a luxury airplane trip. Your design feels more a cruise ship Caterpillar with too much going on.

they say the appendix are not needed as they dont know what they are for ! that could be like some people that dont know why a space ships need a power supply and just ejects it LOL good idea on the passenger systems, I just want a simple system eg. fly the ship to a port . get either players or NPC's or a mix and fly to the next port, we could have tourist missions we collect the tourists at a jump point station and then fly them around the "Stanton system " showing planets moons and POI's just for them then take them back to the station for them to leave or a different station for them to go on with the next systems tour

It's hard to sneak in appendix to this comment. I haven't thought about this much but I am remembering a train simulator game where part of the score was hitting multiple stations on time and smooth motion (stop start, turns). there was a fuel management too but eh.

I do have to wonder about your layout. Not from a functionality sense, but the wings scream Origin a bit, and the body is almost more like Orison than a ship. Which still fits brand, but doesn't fit "transport" to me. I know plenty of people who would give up their appendix to get that extending landing pad though, and will do anything possible to break it just so they can fly with it open!

I hadn't even considered that of course passenger liner will also haul cargo, the luggage. Of course if there's some cargo contract for the same trip available and you have extra space left that would make sense to pick up as well. Would be nice if Starliner became modular and you could for example maximize passenger seats or go for more luxury for interstellar trips.
