Great content as always 👌. I Iabsolutely love my prospector so it went without saying that I melt my Vulture for the Fortune.Yes it's slower and not as much cargo space but I'm really enjoying using it. I love the aesthetics of Misc ships, I'm even thinking about upgrading my Taurus to the Starlancer. Keep up the good work o7

I personaly like the simple asthetics of the Fortune it kind of does what it needs to and with fast turn around speed, pared with a friend in a cargo ship, you can make a lot of money with just two people

I've had a Vulture for a while now. I won one in a giveaway. I never would have bought one myself, so it was really lucky beacause I really enjoy it. But you're absolutely right. I've had a Freelancer (MIS) since the Kickstarter, and aesthetically, I'm leaning heavily towards switching to the Fortune. If I keep it at an out of the way station, go out, do my salvaging, then load all the cargo into a hauler at the end of the night and sell it all at once when I'm back home in Orison, I think it might be comparable to the Vulture.

I like the Misc aesthetic more, simply because it looks like a Clean Industrial style, it screams professional. Also im pretty sure the Fortune would Not fit in the Arrastra.

I have e both. Been a long time fan of the Vulture, But this fortune is really nice. The extra cargo is not a problem to me as I would rather not play salvage tetris. It flys nice. Has great visibility. Bit slower to salvage. But as I salvage to relax from bunkers it does not effect me. East to make 300k per run without any drama.

MISC has an aesthetic, to find beauty in a Drake you have to be an aesthetic. Those cargo pads on the side should go to double the depth in ad hoc cargo mode, a bit contrived stupid not to. Slap an 8 and 4 on each side.

Fortune's aesthetic I like better, yet the Vulture speed of operation san the trash compactor in the back is a bonus.

From an aesthetic point of view, i prefer the Fortune over the Vulture, and while folk are probably correct that the Vulture is a slightly faster money maker based on its dual salvaging heads and larger capacity, as a dedicated space trucker who dabbles in other in-game professions, i'll choose the convenience of the Fortune any time. I'd never get rich with it, but amassing wealth isn't really my goal in game anyway 😅

The Fortune does look a little nicer. Cleaner and has the interiors.

I prefer the MISC aesthetic. I haven't seen anything from Drake that isn't a horrific eyesore as far as my tastes go, and while MISC can be a bit hit and miss for me, the MISC ships tend to come across as a net positive.

Man, having to choose between MISC and DRAKE for design philosophy is rough. I like the larger MISC ships more - Starlancer, Odyssy, etc. But, prefer symmetrical Drake ships. Cutlass, Ironclad, etc. I'd have to eek the preference towards Drake, I guess, but I'm a Crusader fan personally. Except the Intrepid.

The Fortune is pretty but doesn't seem very realistic. Almost its entire interior is habitation space. I'm sticking to my Vulture.

As an owner of only one Drake ship, the Vulture, I guess I don't like Drake that much. I do have 3 MISC ships already, the Hull A, Hull B and the Starlancer Max. Because I own more MISC ships than anything so far, I'm going to like the aesthetic of the Fortune best. Until we have all the rest of the data about the two ships to see how they stack up, I'm not going to melt my Vulture to get the Fortune just yet. I've seen ships have changes that alter the math, so to speak, of how it stacks with things I place more value with, so I'm waiting a little. I do like some of the Fortune's conveniences, but I don't see those positives make it leap ahead of the Vulture yet. Time will tell.

It wasn't ready. It's arguably less playable, at least for me, playing in the Orison area. More server errors in 1 night than the last 3 days combined, and the first time in a week or more that I had issues with elevators being gone. But I'm sure they sold a lot of fortunes. Re: Fortune v Vulture, I'll stick with my Vulture. Looks like the price on them will be virtually identical, and the Vulture doesn't offer much in the way of gameplay upgrades.

I’m a misc fan but on this one I gotta give the aesthetic edge to the vulture. I like the tractor feel of it for the role. However I’m definitely considering replacing my vulture with a fortune - hard choice

Generally I'm more of a fan of the MISC aesthetic but although the Fortune is definitely the shiny option the Vulture has the edge in looking the part. The Fortune just doesn't quite look industrial enough

Ok, that is a good point... the fortune may fit much better in a large ship, if you are unloading into a mothership regularly, this might be the better option. hmmmm interesting.

Going to test out the Fortune doing salvage runs over the weekend. I already have a vulture. I like the looks of the vuture better but the easy of use and getting in and out of the Fortune as well as auto box filling the sides seams nicer.

DRAKE 4 LIFE
@warren31742 күн бұрын
I just tested it live. The Misfortune sucks horribly. It’s beyond slow to a fault. For the same money you can have the vulture and yield an overfilled hold back to base before the Misfortune can clean one big panel. I won’t be able to melt this crap fast enough. There is zero reason to want the Misfortune over the vulture. Unless you just want that bubble cockpit while you waste even more time in game. The scraper head is comparable to a giant tip marker and an extra fine pen. My worry is in typical CIG style they won’t fix this issue on the Misfortune. They’ll fk up the Vulture to match the Misfortune and have both ruined.

I prefer Fortune's aesthetics a bit over Vulture but my pick is Vulture by far. If Fortune had; * 24 SCU outside grid instead of 12 SCU. * Double the buffer size (since there seems to be 2 separate processors These changes would make me consider going to Fortune's side. Any other way around, I can't overlook x2 scraping speed of Vulture.

I definitely prefer the Fortune's aesthetic over the Vulture and really wish the rest of the MISC lineup took more cues from the Prospector/Fortune cockpit. However in the end I'm most likely going to stick with the vulture just because I kind of enjoy the change of pace when you have to go deal with the boxes for a bit (unless it turns out that the in game price for the fortune is much cheaper, which I doubt)

Exactly what I wanted - HULL A accessibility with MISC styling for a entry level salvage ship to complement the reclaimer. Also can fit it comfortably in a polaris along with a prospector or a second fortune.

I'll always prefer Drake aesthetic over MISC - Drake is my favorite general aesthetic and has my favorite ship (the Caterpillar), and MISC is my least favorite general aesthetic across all manufacturers haha. I'll say that I do like that cockpit view though, that's the one edge I'll give the Prospector/Fortune over my beloved Vulture. I've seen it claimed that two Fortunes fit in the hangar of the Polaris, so I guess that's another edge if that's true but the use for that seems so incredibly niche I don't think it actually counts lol. According to a Q&A: "From internal testing, we found that an additional 18 SCU can be placed in an unsecured manner within the ship itself. This is in addition to the 12 SCU external cargo grids, the small 4 SCU grid on the rear cargo lift, and the filler station’s internal buffer, which is currently 13 SCU." So it seems that including unsecured cargo, the Fortune might carry more than the Vulture, but I sure don't want to be the one trying to load 18 boxes into that hallway through an auto-closing door as well as an elevator haha. I think the same percentage of people who make use of the Vulture's unsecured cargo space will conversely not make use of the Fortune's, it just seems like a hugely inefficient process while the exterior cargo grid and automatic stacking seems to promote nothing but efficiency.

I love the aesthetic of the Fortune, that cockpit is one of the best in the game. That being said I think I will keep my Vulture. I don't mind moving the cargo manually and two heads are better than 1.

Melted my game package vulture for an LTI fortune. There's way to much benefit for ease of use in my mind. I dont salvage to min max credits. And it'll be perfect for partnering with my StarLancer MAX with a friend. Even solo I'd rather just scrape 25SCU and go back to port than get out of my seat go to the back, arrange cargo, and then go back up and scrape again. Takes the not fun part of salvaging out of the loop. I'm sure someone will crunch the numbers and find that the fortune makes maybe 20% less per hour, but i own every ship i want to play with already anyway.
@SamLowry_DZ-0152 күн бұрын
If you have a ship below the Cutlass Black, say for example, a Gladius, yiu can save by doing ccu to Cutlass Black, ccu to Ballista, and ccu to Fortune, so instead of 90 to 160, you would only spend 50 to get the Fortune. The Fortune has a 175 value, so you saved 35.

One great thing about the fortune is that you can tell that it has cargo before you soft death the ship If you have a full hopper in a vulture and disable a fortune, you can slide right up there and pull its rmc right off the hull instead of having to fool around and go inside it.
