You've probably already heard it a dozen times in the comments, and probably caught it during editing, but the reason you weren't penalized for shooting the guards is that you were in unmonitored space (no satellight icon). Also, never, ever leave your ship with door or elevator open, especially at Grimhex.

elevators are ok - as they can't be controlled remotely... but doors and ramps - yeah, definitely close them.

Quick tip: You can double-click gear in inventory screen to automatically equip it so long as you have an open slot available. For example, ammo clips, much easier to double click them than trying to drag and drop them in each time. Also you don't get a crime stat if there's no active comms satellite in range, as they can't detect the crime you did, which was the case for this mission.

One of your best Star Citizen videos Olli, great stuff. I don’t know why there was no comm array up for you to incur a crime stat. Got lucky, when I did it security came along and blew up my ship, stranded me and I ended up having to abandon the mission. Top moment for me was you spotting the head poking out of the disabled Prospector, then having the smarts to go out and get a gun off the dead body in space. Epic example of why Star Citizen can be so insanely immersive and the gameplay so emergent.

You can shoot ship entrances to open them. You juts have to be inside their shield.

One thing I found to help the comms from enemies blocking my targeting MFD is to set another MFD to the comms. Worst case, assign the targeting MFD to a different one

You only get a crime stat if you're in range of a functional satellite. The lack of an indicator in the top right, means you're not being tracked right now, so anything goes. Also the medical box was supposed to be in the locked container. There is a Grenade launcher in the upstairs "medical" area if you wanted it.

If you want to board a ship shoot the door with a personal weapon until it 'breaks' and it will open and be stuck open

Things they should add in the future: Enemy ship types for different enemy types: - shipstealer ship - mining stealing ship - hacking ship - trade stealing ship - fighter ship Along with the shipstealing having the potential to spawn in a player type ship, making it look like they've stolen one. Stealing ships e.g: getting a code to infiltrate the locked flightdeck or sneaking into it, then taking the ship back to a hangar to claim and sell it. Maybe if they realise you are there they call reinforcements, so you have to fight your war out. Maybe stealing a friendly ship comes with a huge bounty. The ability to steal player ships would be cool, but people should be able to opt in and out of that. Stolen ships should sell for a certain amount of credits depending on it's contents and condition e.g: a new ship sells for full or near full price, a damaged ship sells for 1/2 or 1 or 3/4.

Upgrade your 400i's stock Panthers to fixed Rhinos. The added DPS of the bigger guns makes a huge difference in combat capability, and you don't actually lose much from taking off the gimbals because the nose of the ship limits gimbal movement a lot. With Rhinos, the 400i is a reasonable combat ship in space, and the robust stock power setup is more than adequate to support the bigger guns.

i had an epic moment on the 890 jump mission where the enemy ships made me eject from my ship and i floated to their ships, got inside, killed them and used it to kill the other and fly to the jump

I cannot wait for full persistence across the ship state - landing gears, screens set on the cockpit, dead bodies left in cold storage in the 400i downstairs from prior missions etc. Luckily that should all come online with PES in 3.18 but if we see that hit the PU before December I’ll be impressed tbh. That 400i paint skin bug is incredibly annoying . It’s no coincidence that panel is the opening doors for the X1 hover bike elevator, I just don’t quite know why it is a problem to resolve, but it spoils almost all the paint jobs on the otherwise stunning 400i. Good thing about the 400i is it’s quite manoeuvrable for it’s size, has excellent shields and the two S4 gimballed panthers on the front can get the job done. If the turrets were manned it wouldn’t be a push over even more so.

Not sure if you noticed but the light that hit The asteroid was pink/red at first because it was filtering through the atmosphere on the moon. So it doesn't transition from black shadow to white light. I love that little touch of realism.

starting from the right, change your mfd to coms that will make the calls come to that then replace your self damage and change it with the shields need to see that more then anything. also if you had a something to do damage you can break the doors on ships to get in.

for info with the oxycutter attachement for the multitool you can open the door of an ship outside of safe zone nice loot on the pirate prospector lol for info you can search in chest armor and legs armor there is loot inside those 2 armor piece you waste too much ammo for each kill and in a non comm aray zone you cant get crime stat the side doors are way better to enter the reclaimer

At the next station, why not place Penguin in the X1 storage bay to keep an eye out on the grav-generator? I suggest you check your ship for intruders (they may steal Penguin?).

You weren't getting a Crime Stat because someone had taken down the Comm Array. Note that the satellite icon in the top right corner is missing. Also, when you loot bodies, don't forget to "Open" the torso piece and legs. That's where the best loot usually is. I've found so many Nerf guns. For me, I prefer to clear from down up. Things you stand on (stairs, ramps, walkways, floors) have collision detection on the TOP side. So you can't shoot through them from above. But if you're below them? The bottoms don't, and you can shoot right through. I used to come into SPK through the top airlocks, being the most secure and isolated, until I discovered this (from getting shot through the stairs by someone below me). That was a beautiful sunrise at GrimHex at the end. I love flying my 400i as my daily driver too. Coming into GrimHex, I've gotten used to flying in the dark. Because of the starfield behind them, you once you know where to look, you can usually just aim for the largest glittery spot without needing to spam your tab after the first ping or two.
