the only thing they missed is ... in space no sound cannot be heard, only if teh sound comes form inside your ship or space outfit, soudns from outer -space cannot be heard, such as other ships explosions, gunfire in space, that kind of shit you know

+Pericat they actually know this. They tried to reduce sound, but the game was more "boring" so they put in the lore that the sound you hear is speakers inside your ship, and that it helps people live through a battle better.

yes they are...but they are also aware that most players (or citizens as i call them) going to use Teamspeak or Discord so at this moment it has no priority. But it will be implemented later on in the development of the game.

I doubt that for the sole fact that: 1- CIG is known to be over the top with things, so any VIOP they put in will be on point 2- They're going to have a open chat feature, so people will be able to talk to each other via just speaking, say if they're strangers meeting. These two things probably spells for more often than not people simply skipping ts or Discord, and just using the ingame features.

wat? That's not how it works. Say for example you have a S2 mount on any ship. That means that you can: 1: Put a S2 item on it (so right now a S2 gun). 2: Put a S2 gimbal, and then put a S1 gun on it. As far as the Gladius specifically goes, iirc there is a single S2 gimbal that comes with the ship, and 2 other S2 slots. So you can at stock have one S1 gimballed gun, and 2x S2 fixed.

When you are in a turret make sure you press your lock on keys. R, T or Y I believe it will help with your locking on and give you a pip to aim at and a hit marker if you hit. :) Also be careful if your turret gets damaged or shot off you get ejected into space and can clip through everything it gets annoying as the only way to fix typically is to have someone kill you or relog.

do they have repair kits onboard? you gotta figure out power regulation between thrust, shields ,weapons you can vary the power settings maybe build a merc crew and have 2 guys that repair and can salvage ? can you equip with tractor beam or grappling hook to salvage ships for parts if your own ship is damaged? i think is the problem is the bigger the gun the more sluggish the response time maybe add if they have a booster motor system to speed up the response time, one problem i used to have was tryin to do all by myself and when i added a targeting system or enhanced computer system to the ship it made all the difference in the world find something to improve power regulators maybe if that ?

In the future, yes. Repairing your ship will be very detailed. You'll be able to reach in and swap out components, or reroute power through different pipes to get a rear turret working again. There's a whole design document detailing how repairs will work on their website. You can use tractor beams to salvage parts as well. There's a whole ship dedicated to doing that, called the Reclaimer. Right now? No. Repairs are limited to visiting a repair station, and having automated drones repair your ship.

This game has only actually been in full development for 2.5 years. They may say that development STARTED in like 2012 or even 2011, but that's doesn't mean they were making much progress at that time. In 2011, they only really had like 4 concept artists and Chris himself as the only programmer, and they were making the base idea of how the game would look and feel. In 2012 they got a few more people on board and could actually start doing meaningful stuff towards development but it was very small and not very coordinated. As more and more money racked up, Chris realized he could not meet the new things people were asking for with his small team, (the overall scope of the game increased immensely) and therefore spent nearly all the later part of 2012 and all of 2013 making the current company they have, Cloud Imperium Games. they have only been doing full time development on this game since 2014 really. So considering that, the game is actually moving along really damn fast when you factor in it's scope. ESO took 7 years to make, and GTA 5 took like 4-5 years. This game already has a good foundation set up, and it has plenty of money to use left. Also, they promised recently that development would be going much faster from now on, and that they plan to release the singleplayer by the end of 2016 and the multiplayer sometime 2017. Which isn't that far from now.

But it's not and I'm cool with it, but given I don't want to try it with all the bugs etc it's a long ass wait for me. Yeah I get you, but I'd rather have a game that is good in time than a game that is never good at all. Also, to be fair, at the time you were technically funding development, not buying the game. The game was practically just an added bonus. If you did just want to buy the game, than you should've bought it when it was actually out and done, but then of course the game might not have been as good without your early funding.

its not light speed. I am assuming that since its called a quantum drive its using some form of quantum entanglement in order to propel the ship to FTL. I am not sure if CR ever explained how the drive functions but that is just my thought process but if anyone has factual info from CR on how the drive works and my hypothesis is wrong I would love to be corrected.

That's because the ship was going into quantum drive (0.2c). Visually it does that warp effect when you go quantum.

They are hoping to release the singleplayer campaign by the end of 2016, and releasing the multiplayer sometime in 2017. But they haven't done a GREAT job at keeping to dates, so who knows for sure. But it is most definitely making progress at least.
