Star Citizen's Esperia Glaive, a ship which is fun to fly, and packs a serious punch. Its a great ship even with its re - work in the future making the Vanduul ships even more sinister. BUT what do you guys think? As always let me know down below!

I have a CCU for the Glaive/Blade ready for SQ42. And, if you fancy trying out the impossible to buy Scythe, just sign up for ''1month of Imperator subscription'', to get access to the Scythe, slightly underwhelming, but you will im sure, be able to earn/get it in SQ42 after their reworks. I di melt all my fighters including the cheesy F8, which i never used. Alien fighters are exotics, equally, i like to treat myself now and again in SC, and have a S-Raven which is actually both a unique ship in its own right, and not just a skin/paint. In SQ42 the exotics will be the must haves, not the vanilla F8/F7s. Grab a CCU of a Gemini/Glaive CCU for $29, all Alien Exotics will go up in price for sure, the trailers for SQ42 will make you wish you did.

I love my Glave, I really don't want them to "update it" as they're saying they will... I love the clunky look.

Both are cool, i personally would be very happy with both new and old. But maybe having the option to keep its original look should be discussed by CIG at least.

Got my Glaive during Alien Week last year! Still debating if I want/need to get a matching Blade to go along with it. If Master Modes gets us away from light fighter meta, then mebbe I don't need a Blade in my hangar. Tho mebbe I need a Blade parked on my Liberator since its one of the ships that can fit 🤔

But the question remains: The new remakes do the vessel still have these animated details? I mean, to the most alien vessels, to be honost those animated details do's a lot to me, wings cockpit like in my Prowler, and all movable things, it's just awesome. I just hope these details will still be there, better or even more details. If not, it's still a normal ship, looking good, but with no animated movable alien details it's just a ship... I would sell or upgrade it

How do you see ship damage stages on the HUD when everything is red? Does it turn green or blue?

The stabby stabby's were useful with the old Vanduul swarm AI. I will try them again this week to see if they still work for that purpose. They did stick out past the shield bubble and the S5's did as well. I must retest.

@@PIN-o7 I just gave it a go and the blades still work, with caveat you have a 1 second hit time I will clear crime stat tomorrow. I found a ship on the ice and the owner wasn't around to protest shenanigans . In Vanduul Swarm the Vanduul didn't want to knife fight.

The remakes went from a tevarin, almost cartoony look to a BattleStar Galactica Cylon style. Definite improvement.

I like both new and old tbh. Id be content with both, but the new versions certainly look more sinister.

I have the glaive and the blade and those new designs look amazing, much better fit and much higher quality in design appeal.

The old Arena Commander requirement to unlock the glaive is still available, now it's just in the new endless vanduul swarm. You need to get to like wave 25 or something in multiplayer. Note, in addition to the AC requirement, you can also only buy the Glaive when it is on sale, like during IAE. This has always been the case.

When your playing endless vanduul swarm and you unlock the glaive you will get a message. Also it will unlock a spectrum badge, so you can check if you already have it. '2953 Vanduul Agressor' is the new badge for endless vanduul swarm. '2946 Vanduul Agressor' is the previous badge for vanduul swarm before endless vanduul swarm. 'Aggressor' was available for beating vanduul swarm before 2016. I believe if you have any of these, or at least one of the first two you should be eligible to buy a Glaive during IAE or alien week.

It's so strange how CIG does this. You beat pirate swarm, the cat, gladius and pack are available at all times. For some reason you can never get anything beyond 6m insurance with them. The glaive token allows you to CCU to it, get LTi and everything but you need to wait for it to go on sale. I was able to get mine to 250, which is still a ton for a medium fighter but it's fancy so.. yeah

@@schlagzahne6741 The glaive is fancy, and a true beast. The other night I was doing the second phase of the overdrive mission with some org mates. On the 3rd mission something weird happened and we got way more ship than we should have, something like 12 gladii 6 cutlasses, and 4 hammerheads. My Glaive, with some help, had no problem taking out ships like the glaidii and cutlasses super quick, while our torpedo boats took out the hammerheads. Even though I don't like the current flight model, and it brobably would have been even more brutal in master modes, it was a lot of fun!

@@PIN-o7 I unlocked the badge 2953 today (had to write the support with screenshot) and I could buy the Glaive now. no IAE or alien week (After purchasing the Glaive, it no longer appeared in the store) I think you have to survive 24min in "vanduul swarm endless" // good video thanks :) // year ago you could ram and destroy enemy ships with the blades 1x (don't know if that's still the case)

I assume the rework is due to upcoming squadron 42. Now what is its human made competition? How will it be updated/reworked? Man cant wait to start 42 play through than escape into the vers wile war rages on the edge!

Good Moonin, Well lol um. I have never flown a Glaive. I see this ship being like a Fly just waiting to have its wing torn off. I got rid of my Talon for this exact same reason they look cool as hell but at this point kinda paper like with them wings. will see after reworks and master mode .
