Thanks! The construction process was a bit iterative actually: I found it easier to decide on details when I had something concrete. And then there were few steps back as I realized I need to do something differently. :D

Pretty good progression on each pass of the track. I need to keep practicing my flight skills too. I tend to have the same problem with up-strafes, getting too much lift coming out of a turn.

The essence of racing in star citizen is getting the perfect boosted drift around the corner only to immediately wrap your ship around a pole.

That setup is so sick! Its easier to turn using roll and pitch up, since there's decoupled mode and no real gravity effect, which side up you are doesn't really make a difference in a small ship. Also I would recommend, if you already don't, to assign all power to engines when racing. You can be much more generous with boost and with racing ships it really makes all the difference. Btw torille :D

Grim Hex also creates another interesting challenge: you can be easily shot while racing there. :D I mean, I'm a strong advocate of having safer areas for people who want them, but at the same time these more dangerous places will create interesting challenges for some other people.

That's a serious setup, wow. I tried racing waay back when I bought my first ship but never continued to practice. Despite having a joystick, I still find it to be quite hard.

Yeah, it's not too easy. And I think it benefits from two joystics. What I learned was that I had to use strafing with boost to align myself properly.

You should get used to flying decoupled in atmo, it makes racing a lot more fun and realistic to flight needs. I also love the M50 my facorite ship and wish it got more love from CIG.

How do you rate the Omni Throttle? I made an Aluminium left hand warthog stick which was awesome for strafes but annoying to use pedals for thrust, and I've tried putting a hall sensor mini stick in my warthog throttle which made thrust excellent, but strafes a bit lame due to the small size and sensitivity. The Omni looks like a good balance?

Do you mean head tracker? I don't think there's really enough stuff for a video. You'll need either Tobii Eye Tracker 5 or TrackIR 5 (I'm using the TrackIR but Tobii could be better for most people). There are other options too but I'm not really familiar with them.
