I hope honestly they give Orgs the ability to partner instead of just forced take over or merge. That way the smaller Orgs can remain but have the ability to negotiate for larger protection.

He asks a log of good questions, none of which are easy to answer. -Org leadership has to be transferrable in case of someone going MIA, making players loose potentially months of progress or access to assets they worked towards because someone decides to drop the game, being unable to log in due to rl stuff or other things would lead to needless stress. This should first and foremost stay a game, not a playground for wannabe monarchs. -Org allegiance shouldnt be obvious first glance, where is the risk when meeting new players in the verse when you can spot immediately whom the, belong to? -Org vs Personal rep should be separate at least to AI, i dont want to be locked out of the"civilized" systems because someone in my org decides to go on a murderhobo killing spree -The game has to give us a proper chat&management tool ingame for any further changes to the system first, currently its all too incomvenient

Ray's insights are usually very good. CIG really needs to get this stuff going. As SaltEMike said , they have a gold mine of engagement in SC at the org level but they're not nurturing it.

Personal Hangers/Cargo Elevators need to be replicated but tied to an org level, ships should have the ability to call ATC, and select between personal or org hanger to land in, once landed in the org one ships stored in there are available to the other org members (With rank/security limitations), thus donations of pledged ships like capital ships are available. Additionally cargo elevators should have the ability to call or deploy to/from a central org location (Org bank) where shared cargo/ground vehicles can be called.

Giving the ability to tax, distribute money, and assign rank will greatly improve orgs and will allow them to naturally self govern. people typically just want money or rank or community. Also I think creating static hideouts/fortresses with NPC targets (military sites/pirate coves/merchant ships) to add to the universe will give players something to do besides seeking out other players to fight with.

We needed this for a while. Good point on being both large and agile. I've been in a top military org in PS2 where "If you aren't in the Galaxy (Valk) in 10 seconds, you are WRONG!" Opposite; I've hung out with orgs in SC where they want to get everyone together from all corners of the solar system into a big ship then go out to the mission. Instead of everyone meeting at the more centralized mission, then loading into the bigger ship. It takes forever to do anything if zero optimization is put in to SC.

Until the max # of players on a server goes up, I don’t think there will be too much unplanned org conflict.

I still want to have some type of fear of the game meaning security around planets incorporations still play a big part in the game the lore is so immersive for me. And around that the players will be the infinity fabric that makes it all come to life. You have a lot of work to do. Since you've organized an organelle for 6 years what are some of the most notorious and feared orgs in the verse?

I think the focus on org as the guild concept of sc mmorpg is misguided... They should had focussed on ship crew... I already said often in many place... Crew limit should be around 3crew per bed for industrial and 4crew per bed for military and stealth ships... Based on a work schedule rotation... Because the ships should be crewed 24/7 So a carrack would hace a crew or 20+1 captain... or 24 if the captain share quarter aswell... Each ships sholld have a guild management system to create/assign rank and access and rolles and duty and time schedule on ship so players login off would leave their character persisting as a npc ... on hheof duty... be that sleeping or else... And login back you would log in the muds of what your character was doing as a NPC That's what org/guild shookc be... I play a space sim gdme yo play in space most of the time like in startrek or starwars.. Not to build land base and assault bunkers!!! I would like to be able to place my ship inuo geostationary orbits and br required to use roundabound like the pisces to land on a planet... not land with a whale llkd anythimb bigger that the carrack All those capital ships should be orbiter... not landers... well they could still land on low G moons or space stations.

I'm not quite sure I understand this whole conversation. Is this just all roleplay stuff. I understand master modes changes the way that fighting will be done, but what are we even talking about there's nothing to fight over. For example having 50 people fighting in an org battle. It's just kind of stuff even happening or is it just speculation on what may be in the future?

One of the biggest issues I see with orgs is the voip. How are orgs with 50 people on going to be able to communicate? Not like your going to have a discord open with 50 people talking over each other. I think we should have a system like squad that has local, squad and command chats. Is this something CIG is even considering? Haven't heard a thing about this problem for years. Not a single word.

You won't need any of these mechanics since there isn't a player run economy. Players aren't doing meaningful things that affect one another like the do in Eve. Furthermore, server limitations are real and this spaghetti code isn't going to allow enough people in one area for wings to really matter. Tax is one thing. That's completely basic and should have been in the game for a long time. With an NPC economy you wont need organization for logistics, industry and harvesting like you do in Eve Online. This is why my #1 wish for this game is a player run economy.

Chris hates the player-dominated economics of EVE Online and always has. Great for sweaties, especially toxic sweaties, but dystopian for anyone else, and there's a lot more to do besides combat in SC than EVE, so, no, you don't get to be the next Hurston Dynamics. 🤷🏿♂️
