Alpha or not - a buyer would have reasonable expectations of playable core loops - even if future features are not yet implemented. In lieu of those, you'd think they'd have the sense to keep established loops playable, to hold interest....

I feel like sometimes the laser throws the rocks behind my Roc instead of collects it. So after I'm done I have to turn around and gather the extra up

@@sicecko it absolutely does this. I don't think it will be fixed anytime soon either. With that said.....it's never really enough for me to be concerned about. I think the closer you are to them the less it does it.

ROC mining is completely broken this patch, they are working on hot fixes for a lot of those issues.

Preeeeetty sure Aphorite is still bugged where you have to sell it one at a time or you separate it down to stacks of 3 and sell all at once else it gives an error.

The ONE thing I love doing in SC is ROC mining. I like to chill and fly to different spots and just mine for hours. I just installed the update the other day after being away from SC for almost a year due to other bugs only to find out the whole ROC system is broken. Like WTF? I don't care to do any space battles, I just want to mine ROC and upgrade my ships with the money i get from mining. So for now, this game is useless to me. I have invested some decent money in it to get the ships I want so hopefully CIG will get their shit together and fix the issue sooner than later.

Also furthermore when cracking and retrieving you just do one rock at a time. I noticed prior to 3.23 if you came across a hadanite cluster and get like 15 if you bust em all it winds up NOT giving the total of the amount cracked. So 15x3 would be 45 but you might get only 42 If you do make 1 left 1 center 1 right you tend to get the full total. Shame it doesn’t highlight the actual gems tbh. It is also range depended as well. Lastly a black can hold 48 scu and I believe if I remember correctly a roc is only .8 scu full. So can always move it into cargo and stack and pack till you wanna leave. Not sure how inventory works now considering new containers etc etc

Anyone having trouble selling after 3.24 heres what I did to make it work: split everything into stacks that you can fit into your backpack and one by one move those stacks into a 1scu container and then lower that down the cargo elevator. Once down go into the station inventory terminal and open the container and move everything into the station inventory. From there just go to the commodity terminal and you can sell from there

Why do you get the roc from the same planet? Can you not quantum travel with a ground vehicle in the back?

You can buy at the time getting it from an outpost was the only way. Now you can get them from your hangar 😁

Sometimes, I just do the cave missing person missions, for the ridiculous amount of hadanite that spawns in there. I just did a little half ass run and made 45K.

@@enriquesegovia2667 If you go to MicroTech and bring up your Mobiglas contracts, and look under either Investigate or Search (I can't remember which) because I bought a Vulture since then and am doing mostly cargo hauling and salvage. But under one of those (Investigate or Search) you're gonna look for the one that says find missing person in a cave on MicroTech. Accept that mission and go to the cave. Chances are, when you get there and go into that cave and look around, you're gonna find quite a bit of Hadanite. I could never locate the missing person, but I would just fill my backpack and go back to my ship and put it into my ship inventory and go back and mine more Hadanite. However, ship inventory has changed now and I haven't done a cave mission since then. You're gonna need to bring Cruz drinks with ya, so you can stay and mine without leaving for awhile, and bring a multi tool with mining Orebit attachment. Hope this helps.

I agree with you don’t always penny pinch… if it was 20-30k uec it would be worth the savings but it isn’t. The time it would take to save that 5k would be better spent mining.

@@mikush95 I think they have changed it a couple times. I always ignore dolvine and Aphrodite. Hadanite is just worth so much more per unit.

@@EliteD1zzy1 That is a bit of an issue. Try selling straight from the Roc. Sometimes you have to pull the roc off the ship. But you can sell from it.

I cannot move the laser. Has anyone encountered this issue? I can power up, fire the laser and swap to extraction, but can't actually move the laser.

That's a new one on me.....normally when you power off and power back on it solves most issues.

I am thinking of starting this game play loop as I have done Salvaging and Cargo so this is my next endeavor. Thanks for this it will help a newb out! When you were scanning the gems they had a purple outline around them, I have seen a blue and purple outline around ships when I scan to land. Does the color mean anything? Also are you worried about pirates when selling at the mining site?

I believe one of the colors may mean it's already been scanned. As far as selling, not worried at all. All those outposts are in an armistice zone😁

@@johnnymclemore8255 where you sell yes......where you actually mine the gems no. If you pick one of the points say on Magda, quantum and jump out say 100k away and fly down to the surface from there you should be good. I literally have not been pirated in years doing this. Plus pirates don't mess with ROC miners to much. More lucrative stuff for them with cargo traders IMO.
