Yea but now he has to be an engineer, that will have to prep the ship for the mission, replace fresh batteries, wipe the windshield, put fresh oil in the engine first, clean the guns, load the ammo. Call you on your mobiglass when the ship is ready. After all that now he has to send power to that, before charging that, before you can engage anything. Hope the Vanduul have go through all that nonsense also.

The reality is the EMP doesn't do what it shows in the video, they'll just keep coming.

You'll notice they double-tap with the EMPs, one to drop shields, one to shut down the power plant. When soloing you need to drop the shields yourself first. The details vary from build to build, but that seems to be the general theme it fluctuates around.

Probably one of my favorite ads for a ship to date. The sound track and them EMP'ing the pirate fleet made it feel like it came straight out of Battlestar Galactica where the Cylons disabled the entire Colonial Fleet during the Attack on the Colonies. Sick!

we really need these to be 30 min lore pieces. i would love it if they were able to do it like once a month. they could even tie them into patch releases and definitely for full game releases. we have seen what a boost meta media like this can have for a game and Star Citizen would be a perfect world in which to do this. they could even use it to onboard animators, video editors, etc. /sigh a man can dream 😩

Sadly, iirc getting the render culling to properly adjust to a zoomed in view is both a graphics engine thing (lower priority than getting Gen 12 and Vulkan online) and an object container streaming issue, as things that aren't flagged as extremely visible don't even load into memory if they are outside their render culling range. That's probably going to be a post-server-meshing thing. :/

I like the idea but I already have the Scorpius, but not happy with the price tag for a configuration change, CIG this is upsetting! I was happy to pay 250 for the ship model on concept sale and have the turret loadout normally happy to fund "but its just a loadout of the same ship" and asking for another 250 is not good Personally would of charged 250 for the warbound which includes one of the loadout and then 50-100 for any new loadout option going forward On each new release of a loadout then you can offer the Warbound price and then the option to add the other loadout option Then give us a way to change the loadout in game or until available issue the ship variants to the users that have purchased the modules "as a lonner"

@@xikungao2376 Medium Fighters are not in a good position right now. CIG claims that they will be better once they seperate action mode from cruise mode flying, thus reducing combat speeds and shortening the engagement distance, but they are on the record flat out saying that they see Light Fighters as the epitome of dogfighting and Heavy Fighters as sturdy attack or protection specialists and Medium Fighters as somewhere in between where you shouldn't expect to be able to just easily overpower a Light Fighter. I don't mind that they want to keep Light Fighters as the best dogfighters in the game, but as a Buccaneer user myself I do hope that they have some idea of what to do with Medium Fighters that goes beyond "they're somewhere in between of Light and Heavy Fighters". Something that makes sense for why you would want a Medium Fighter in the fleet rather than just another Light one.

Trust me CIG, give power of the EMP to the pilot and give the copilot a turret like the Scorpius, but make the guns a size smaller so that the ship does less DPS than the Scorpius but more utility. You don't need to force the copilot to do menial jobs for the gameplay to be fun. Trust and listen to the community. We will help you make the best game ever made. You have the most amazing ship designers in the entire industry but you drop the ball on the implementation of a lot of the mechanics. We want this project to succeed and the community is here to help.
