I'm Japanese, so I grew up with anime like the Macross franchise (Robotech, in the west), and the Sabre is my favorite fighter, because the design reminds me of Macross Veritechs, in fighter mode. The Veritech fighter mode designs were mostly influenced by the American F-14 Tomcat, and I love the Tomcat! So Sabre will always be my favorite fighter, because nostalgia😊

Love to see the Sabre getting some action. Such a beautiful ship. .. I wish they would reposition the pitch ladder. It's too close to the pip and clutters up the middle of the screen unnecessarily. It was fine when it used to be closer to the edges.

I agree this one is the most beautifull. I think gladius, vanguard and ares are sharted second XD. And FL-33 on A1 felt realy nice to. I think they have nice dmg and not to slow.

with the hornet mk2 ghost coming out next week im currently stucck on wether to upgrade to this or get the mk2 ghost next week, its for my lti token as a second ship so im purely after the best dogfighter, any suggestionss?

@@JoshDoubleU I'm on the exact same boat right now. I'm leaning more sabre because the future seems to be uncertain as for weapon hard points on the hornet. They just keep changing things and the sabre has always been the same 4 S3 weapons. Plus with the updates to it's maneuverability, it does very well in a dogfight. Not to mention it has a larger health pool than the Hornet and performs better in atmosphere. I've been testing all week.

The missiles get nerved in 3.23.1a now, speed reduced for all missiles. I wonder how good they will perform now.

I believe the standard sabre has a lower IR rating then the Sabre Comet. But still is the sexiest medium fighter in the game. Good vid. nice to see you back in SC. That fight with the Gimini was intense lol.

All the new paintings for the Sabre firebird works as well for the original Sabre!!!! And they are kinda dope Edit: didn't tryed it myself, but seen some pics and comments about it, in particular I've seen the black and gold paint applied to the original sabre, and it looks epic
