Star Citizen's Zeus CL this really is a ship thats been built very well, Its very impressive how CIG have managed to fit such a generous amount of space in such unique shape. Externally i think the attention to detail is excellent and the trim on the interior may be a sign of things to come ( Perseus , Galaxy ) Overall a great design and perfect for any new citizen looking for a entry point into space truckin.. BUT what do you guys think about the Zeus MK 2 CL? AS always let me know down below!!!

The cargo grid is so annoying as to almost completely obviate the other virtues of the Zeus CL. Which was probably intentional. So I don't think that any experienced Star Citizen hauler would have called it a "well-engineered cargo runner". It's so awkward to load that it is going to have a VERY long cycle time, and right now you can't accept a hauling mission more than 67scu or you'll get odd-sized containers that prevent you from loading it.

I thought the same of the interior, I hope the Galaxy follows this pattern as well. It should look really sharp! I'm glad you hear you were happy with the cargo grid: I heard so many negative things about it before I tried it. I kept an open mind as I usually do, and I didn't find it to be a problem in my few days of messing with it. One of the things I liked the most is the rear cargo door and shape of the bay. You have generous clearance when you drive a ROC aboard, lots of room to get around, room for extra ship storage. It makes a really nice companion to this vehicle! I think the elephant in the room is the Connie Taurus for only $25 more. You get a ton of value for that extra $25. If I had to pick a medium hauler, I value the large vehicle transport options of the Freelancer MAX. She may be frompy, but she's my type of medium hauler and I love her 😅.

19:36 You state that you can fit an Ursa in the back. This is only true if you shoot the wheels off and tractor it in.
@PIN-o72 ай бұрын
@@OmnipotentJC yes thats true, I actually meant the stv no idea why I said ursa tbh.

I agree the habitation areas feel a bit sterile but I guess now its up to us to fill it with trinkets and pray to the persistence gods. But compare this hab area to something like the Argo RAFT which has stacked plates and condiments etc...feels lived in.
@JL-rj9fl2 ай бұрын
This just came to me: the kitchen reminds me of a Doctor's Office.
@PIN-o72 ай бұрын
"Sterilised" is probably the best description of it ha ha

CL needs to have its cargo grid updated/changed(odd size makes it tough to load) and roof slightly moved up a tiny bit to clear moving head-room.
@Kyle-sr6jm2 ай бұрын
Un-fubar the door and a lot would be solved.
@complicatedlights2 ай бұрын
Agree the clean room/kitchen is a big missed opportunity. It's even worse on the ES which is just a larger expanse of sterile wasted space. I think it would be improved without the wall between the kitchen and hallway to open up that claustrophobic corridor, and little living room setup with a comfy, L-shaped couch or some such replacing the majority of the laboratory cabinets. I prefer the Spirit's looks and flight profile anyway for my daily drive, but the Zeus miiiight have flipped me if it went hard with cozy vibes.

I Like the Zeus CL, but with the kitchen I had the same feeling. It looks like cheap plastic, or like the textures are missing.

"well engineered" is one way to put things, "awful gameplay experience" is another

Cargo grid on both Zeuses are bad, cool ship, bad design. You put 2 x 16SCU on the ES, they dont clear the door to put in/out. CL with a multitude of 2 SCU boxes tetris to load, terrible...... CARGO ships need to be efficient.... C1...C2, Raft, HULL A, HULL C.... easy and quick load/unload, max size (per ship) boxes capable.... SPIRIT C1 is a good example of clever design, you have a corridor that fits a 32SCU box... you move ir there, move to either side, lock to the grid.

I think hygine is gonna work like in kingdom come deliverance. At least they that makes the most sense to me.
@JayEhch852 ай бұрын
I prefer the C1 for ease of loading. The Zeus CL has a lot of quality of life features, like 3 exits the kitchen the bedrooms etc. That being said I kept the C1 and did not keep the Zeus

The Zeus should go straight to in game sale. They’re too expensive out of game for what they offer and possibly a sign of future price hikes that aren’t worth it.

Oh, you're being serious... :O
@durtyred862 ай бұрын
Pin, you're the FIRST content creator that I've come across who didn't incorrectly compare the CL to the C1, and instead correctly placed it alongside the Max. Well done on the sharp eye. The C1, while fairly pricy, is better compared to the base Freelancer who also carries 66 scu. I get that you can cram more into the C1 if you're crafty, but I still slot it under the CL and Max. Well done and thorough as usual.

Not a well engineered cargo hauler. It has one major flaw. The rear door opening is way too small. This alone brings it down from excellent to the absolute worst
@PIN-o72 ай бұрын
Sadly I didn't try loading any cargo, however you are not the only one to have that complaint. It seems what could of been a very cool ship just isn't practical. It's a shame tbh.
@Bigbitemilita2 ай бұрын
Yea I love the MSR, especially after this update with the massive quadrant shield. The entrance is annoying but sorta feels like home. But the massive cargo door that is the dimensions of the grid make loading and unloading so easy. It’s also great now for multi crew HRT and ERTs
@PsyEm-p1j2 ай бұрын
I like it more than the ES. It has some practicality right now in the game versus the ES with very little use for its exploration capability. I honestly don’t see the benefit of the improved living space in the ES and I think this maybe a misstep in CIG ship designs unless somehow there is going to be some benefit to having ‘nice beds, living rooms and nice places to eat’. 🤷♂️
@GrumpyChops2 ай бұрын
I’ve had both, kept the CL in exchange for my C1. The ES just seems a bit pointless tbh, so upgraded that to the Starlancer MAX(that I’ll probably upgrade to a TAC)
@ThatJerseyBlokeАй бұрын
Call me crazy but I'd just rather have an Argo RAFT. Moves product faster and just has more "personality."
@buhatkj2 ай бұрын
i think the kitchen area needs decoration. a space that bland need personalization! I do wish the cargo grid had been designed a little different for simpler box sizes. 4x32 SCU would have been ideal...the result of this kind of odd shaped space is that the full capacity will never be used. everyone will stuff 2x32 SCU in there and call it a day. anything more takes way too long to load
@Jean-GERNE2 ай бұрын
Max is the better Zeus...^^ First 25€ cheaper , second fits an Ursa... The rest doesn't matter much... but I think that's enough of an argument
@Vioblight2 ай бұрын
Engineered well until you try to fill it. When I hear 128scu I think square cargo grid fitting 4x 32 scu boxes… if that’s not what I get then I don’t want it! Regarding the Zeus CL. Beautiful ship but I’m upgrading to a Starlancer Max no cargo box and loading headaches for my design.
@LordOfFlies2 ай бұрын
I really wish they would rework the freelancers. The MAX was my favourite ship and still is on paper but the interior just feels so outdated I have traded it for a C1.

"Well engineered" Among intelligent people that is an insult. Well designed is a compliment. Well engineered is a curse.
