What a weekend for pet loss - we said goodbye to my wifes dog of almost 12 years on Sunday. While they entered my life only 5 years ago, he finally broke my steeled emotions. Separation no matter the relationship is never easy - we are designed to outlive our furry companions to share the joy they brought us with others. Sympathy and empathy around to all those grieving for loss of all companions.

One of my cats' called Mungo was a tomcat that was huge. He passed away 20 years ago, and out of the blue he still visits me in my dreams on a regular basis. You'll be seeing her again, often when you least expect it.

Lost my first dog in Nov of ‘21 (a choc lab I affectionally called him Mr. Miles) I appreciate you being able to see even this early on the pain and sorrow that your time with your beloved Lola the past 8 months was a good thing for you and her. Mike, my deepest condolences. Hold on to the good moments. I understand where you're at in this dark moment in your life. I was a wreck after my cat Ambra and my dog Gerry passed away within moths of each other. We were together through thick and thin for 15 years so the feeling of loss seemed insurmountable as what you're experiencing. It does, however, get better, eventually. The wound will heal and a scar will remain and let that be your reminder of a lifetime of love from Lola. Take care.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Glad you got to spend time with her up to the very end. Both of my previous cats passed away when I was away from home (not at the same time). And my mom was the one to call and tell me. It eats away at me 5 years later that I wasn’t home for their last moments and I still cry about it randomly. It does get better though.

SalteMike, are you serious? What do you mean "there's no alternative" to the multitool tractor beam? There's a two-handed tractor beam that we're supposed to use for the larger boxes. It's been in-game for a while now too. How did you not know this?

@@SaltEMike It was just confusing the way you said it. At 4:00 you said: "First off they want to change handheld tractor beams. The multitool can no longer hold 32scu boxes but the dedicated one can. I don't get this as much because there isn't a good alternative to them. If you are going to do this, you have to have good ship tractor beams and they don't." Which implies that you need to have a good ship tractor beam to move 32scu boxes, but the dedicated handheld tractor beam can move 32scu boxes just fine. You kinda mentioned the dedicated handheld tractor beam with the "but the dedicated one can" line, but then confused with the "if you are going to do this, you have to have good ship tractor beams." Normally, I don't have a problem understanding you, so it's not a huge deal. Love your videos @SaltEMike

Sorry to hear about Lola Mike! Know what you are going through, as i both have had cats and dogs, some died and some had to be put down, but either way the sadness and the loss is the same! I dont have pets anymore, cause, I came to the conclusion that it was too tough losing them at some point. I Remember the vid where you talked about Lola having cancer, to be honest I got so sad, because it brought back memories of one of my dogs, a beagle called Luna, that I had to put down, cause at the end She was suffering too much. People that never had pets, cannot understand, that you get attached to whatever pet, and they become part of the family! Anyhow....Mike, You and the Mrs. hang in there, and once again, sorry for hearing about Lola.

Pets always take a piece of us with them when they go. My cat who was with me through the middle of high school and to my early 30’s passed away suddenly a couple years back. The pain does get better as time goes on, I promise you that, but it’s never quite the same. Sounds like you gave Lola the best life possible. RIP Lola We've had to put two old timers down (one cancer, one kidneys) in as many years and they were family. The pain loses it's edge over time but the fondness remains. I'm sorry for your loss man, good job keeping it together.

From recent personal experience with a cat of my own, the loss is not something that just gets "better", but it is something that you learn to live with. The sadness will be there but it also mixes with the great memories they left behind for us. I'm sure Lola lived a great life of pampering and love and I like to belive all our pets are up in some place better after we say our goodbyes. Rest in peace Lola.

Jesus Mike, I used to watch you with Bored and another guy ages ago. I've just returned to Star Citizen lately after a bit of a self imposed mental health hiatus and a lot has changed. I'm enjoying the game more (although it's plain to see it is far from finished) and discovered your channel for the first time. I love the content and general feel of your reports/reviews/updates, keep up the excellent work. As for Lola, it's the first time I heard of this and I am really sorry for your loss. It was nice to hear that you had real good support during this period and that in turn this support meant you were able to spend some quality time with her and focus on your work at specific times. I am with you, and, you are right, it never gets easier. That moment when you realise that you have just lost a cat friend but it does soften over the years. Five of my cat buddies have moved on but they live on in my memory (Ginger, Smoke, Lady, Talula, Mayo and Cantona) and I am reminded of them every day that I sit with my current cat companions (Rosie and Jack). Good luck for the future mate I'll be keeping an eye on your work and thank you.

It eventually does get better but there are those times where it comes backs and hits ya in the feels. Put my 17 year old cat down within the last year and just you bringing up your loss gets me teary eyed remembering all the good times the last 17 years brought us with our man Gandalf the grey. It looks like base modules linked together with a hydroponics on top of what i assume is a round medical module. given the information and visuals gathered at citizen con last year. That rectangle on the right upper side of the white board looks like a hanger door kinda like the horizontal ones at New Babbage but maybe vertical. The rectangle on the left looks like a representation of slit windows on the building modules

Two years ago I lost my cat I got when I went to college. She was 24 when she passed, so to say she was a big part of my life is an under statement so I get how you feel man. And as someone that has had animals and pets my whole life I will say it does get better, but at the same time I still think about her and there are things that will always remind me of her, and those are the things that matter, the fact that an animal will always have a presence, a memory, and be there is what matters.

When entering the hanger if nothing is there, why is the hanger elevator that brings the ship up not already closed and lowered so when you call it just comes up. Instead it goes through the whole animation of lowering, closing and then bringing it up.
