I agree, they know they are held to a higher standard when going for the job and should be held accountable even more so when it's 100% proven they have broke the law to prevent others using the power to get away with things. Unfortunately abusers are attracted to jobs like this that hold power and some have become abusive because of the power. I am not saying all people in power are abusive just that some are just like every profession and walk of life.

The most horrifying thing about all of these cases is CPS is almost never held accountable for their incompetence. The lives of the most vulnerable are in their hands and yet their represenatives often recieve slaps on the wrist in responce for gross neglegence. Why the hell do abusers go in shock when the child they abuse dies? What do you expect when you starve, beat and douse your special needs child in cold water? @@BelleMorte1183 exactly. This is a case where I think the cps workers involved deserve to be investigated and even prosecuted if it’s warranted by the investigation. There’s absolutely no way they did their jobs right and weren’t negligent. What really pisses me off in all these cases is that the judge never listens to the kids! In the case of Gracie and Grant Solomon it's the same thing. When a child is able to speak for themself and tell a judge about the abuse they are experiencing then it should be cut and dry case! If a child says that the parent is abusing them DO NOT PUT THAT CHILD BACK INTO THEIR CARE! Children should not be forced to have any relationship with their parents if they don't want one and are able to voice that! They are humans just like everyone else. It's f-ing ridiculous.

I agree with you. When I was 10 and my brother was 5, CPS was going to take us away because my mom’s twin sister falsely accused my dad of raping me and my little brother. My parents were seperated at the time too. One day, my dad was trying to bring a present for my little brother as he had turned 5 during the seperation but the school staff would not let him because of my mom’s twin sister making up lies. That same aunt even accused my mom of raping my brother and she had to leave work that day cause cps called home. I did not know the extent of this situation until years later as I got older. Hell, my aunt even accused my dad of having illegal porn on the family computer and took the computer capsule to a lawyer. During the time, my parents were going to get a divorce due to issues of their own but they made up and my dad came back. Had my parents divorced and my mom pressed charges against my dad like her sister wanted her to, not only would my dad’s life be ruined along with my mom’s but the lives of myself and my brother. You mentioned the father and his partner were training the kids to say "I don't love Mommy" and "I don't want to stay with Mommy". This is a phenomena known as Parental Alienation. It is one parent (usually the custodial parent) deliberately turning the child against the other parent. The child can then unreasonably act with hostility toward the belittled parent. The child may not even be sure why they feel negativity toward that parent. It is a criminal offence in some countries. It is a form of child abuse.

This story hit hard, I had to listen to it twice as I missed details the first time around just trying to wrap my mind around that inhumane torture these sweet babies endured. I was just recently diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum. I grew up in a very toxic household. My mom was verbally, physically, emotionally and mentally abusive to me. She’d gaslight me, beat me with belts, electric cords, hangers, her hand or tupperware being banged over my head. Why? I had a hard time in school and had horrible grades, I didn’t make my bed, I wasn’t ready and waiting by the door when we had to go somewhere (she’d leave me behind by myself having a meltdown and come back 5 minutes later laughing her ass off to pick me up), if I talked too much or didn’t talk enough when around family/friends. When I got older and started my menstrual cycle, I was 11, I told her and she stared me down and said, “well that’s it, you better not end up pregnant before you’re married”. I could go on, but we’d be here forever. Now she’s different. She’s kind and loving and very apologetic but I still have a hard time trusting her cause she still has little moments where the old her comes out I am disabled and due to lack of finances, I’m still living in my trauma home. I try to save to move but very difficult to do so on a fixed income. All of these children you talk about and the abuse they went through is utterly heartbreaking. There needs to be something we can do to change how CPS operates. Three cps agents and each one of them favored the abuser. Sadly, that’s why I never called 911, my parents laughed at me and said, “yeah right your dads a cop, they won’t believe you once we tell them you like making up stories”. On top of all that, my older brother had been SA me from 4-7 years old, he’s 12 years than me. Rest in peace Thomas Valva. 🖤🥺

Those teachers and principal really tried to help them. I hope the case workers that did absolutely nothing to help these children feel guilty for the rest of their life. As for the father, it's best I don't even say. His fellow inmates will take care of that. That bishop hit it right on the nose. It's not someone's problem until it's their child. Cases like this affect me very deeply. From my very earliest memories from when I was around 3 years old until I was seventeen, I was abused in every way possible by my own family. I am now in my early 50’s and it still affects me. Though I was married, I put off having children out of fear that my temper would mean thy I would repeat the cycle. I ultimately decided that though I could never see myself ever abusing a child (or anyone else) that if I ever even had thoughts of harming one of my children, I would permanently delete myself so they would not have to grow up as I did. As it turns out, I found that I was the opposite to “repeating the cycle” and I had endless patience with my children, was a very loving, caring, doting, affectionate father. My first words to each of my two daughters after their birth was: “I promise that nothing bad will ever happen to you; not on my watch. Your life and happiness means far more to me than my own.” I am happy to say that I have never broke that promise to either daughter and they are both very happy, well adjusted teenagers now. Though the marriage ended in divorce when my wife at the time said “sit would be best for all of us if you move out- this isn’t what I signed up for when I married you” eleven days after finding out from the neurosurgeon that a lower back injury was inoperable and I would not be going to back to work. This case also shows the extreme corruption within Child Protective Services. Their employees have the power to destroy families as well as the powers to sweep certain cases under the rug if they choose. I hope they are held accountable for their blatant bias in this case and allowing a child to die because of how they handled this case. I hope that the other children receive all the love and happiness they deserve from now on. They have already experienced a lifetime’s worth of neglect and abuse and I hope that they can move on with their lives in the best possible way considering what they’ve already endured. As for the two in prison, I hope that each of them is subjected to spirited rounds of Jeffrey Dahmer broomstick justice while in prison.

Having autism makes it more likely a child will be murdered by their own parents, sadly. I think autism speaks is partly to blame, with that awful "autism everyday" video they made that had a mother talk about how she wanted to drive her car off a cliff with her autistic child inside. Right in front of the autistic child in question. The only thing that stopped her is the fact that she had a "normal" child to care for. It's pretty sickening

@@kingofichigo A$ is to blame for a majority of the misinformation and bias the general public has, I think. They don't realize that the whole thing is horseshit and that the org doesn't actually seek input from actual autistic people. They lied about vaccines causing autism (so the whole anti-vaxx movement started there, endangering anywhere from thousands to millions of immunocompromised folks, young children and babies, and the elderly), they pushed the idea that autism can be cured (it can't, you're born with it and have it for your whole life no matter what), they pushed the idea that having an autistic child is the worst thing that can happen to a parent. @TheEudaemonicPlague

One thing that I think most people don't realize, is that kids raised in such circumstances don't generally understand that what they're going through is not normal. They're unlikely to tell anyone about the abuse, because they don't understand that they've been abused. This makes it harder for outsiders to learn what the kid is going through. Fortunately, society is moving in the right direction. There was a time when parents could get away with all kinds of mistreatment, because people considered such things to be nobody's business. Unfortunately, things are not improving quickly enough...just the fact that these incidents still occur shows that. Sometimes, I wonder how things would have been, if my mother hadn't limited the punishments my father gave me. Then I see these stories and remember things my father said and did, and I know I was pretty lucky.
