How #star_delta_starter control circuit wiring is done.
#star_delta_connection method is probably the most common reduced voltage starter for a #3_phase_induction_motor in present day use.
These starters are used in an attempt to reduce the start current applied to the motor initially during starting, to reduce the disturbances and interference transferred on to the electrical power supply.
Therefore we need to start the motor with Star connection first, and after it gathers around 80% of its full speed, we can change the Star connection to Delta connection thereafter.
Normally a 3 phase motor needs only around 3 to 4 seconds to reach its near full speed, hence Star running is only for around 3 to 4 seconds.
