My favourite arcade game of all time. The local snooker hall got this in when it first came out, and I hammered it. Then a couple of years later the snooker hall got rid of it and I was gutted. But I found out one of the local pubs had it, so I hammered it there as well for a year or two until they got rid of it. Still love it today. I have the ROM and an emulator on my PC and still play it every now and then to this day.

@@AlexModeling Man - I threw so many coins in that mother back then, in that 80s grill bar. I remember the feeling of how EVERYTHING hinged on getting that auto fire/speed up module and preserving it for as long as possible. But to even get to the machine us smaller kids had to make it past the bigger boys who were hanging out eating hotdogs and fries and smoking cigarettes in that small enclosed space reeking of grease and smokes and lukewarm beer xD. Of course some of those big guys were completely ace at it, hanging out and spending all their money in there. These days it's a goddamn flowershop.

One of the best shooting game I played in arcades. The giant yellow enemy that appeared from the below during Lambda stage almost freaks me out when I saw it for the 1st time.

Far out this was my favorite game i use to play all the time at the arcade centre in town as a teenager. I got really good at it made it to the end sometimes.Great memory ,the preview here the person playing isn't very good as they are missing out on alot free spaceships from destroying certain bunch or items that give you more lives along the way.✌

BTW, I forgot to mention this the last time I was here. My favorite home shoot em up game of all time is Plutos for the Atari ST. It was also released for the Amiga and other systems of the era (1987 ish). The reason I am mentioning it here is because the game is HEAVILY inspired by Star Force. I never made the "connection" till many years later as I got this game in about 1989 or so. There are obvious differences, so it isn't like a twin brother, more like a cousin, but still hard to miss. For example the smiley faces you get, in Plutos each of them gives you a life, and you are going to need them. Anyway, my point is, if you like Star Force, I also suggest trying Plutos.
