Oh yeah. Now that you mention it you could. I barely ever used that though since if you're good enough to get to Sector Z you probably don't need it.

Apparently, if you skip the cutscene, you start next to the Great Fox instead of launching from it.

It's impossible to get a medal on Sector Z. You have to shoot a bunch of enemies, shoot all 6 missiles and all the while, keep your wingmen alive.

As a lad I think this lvl always gave me the most stress. Playing it now, all good, but it's funny to think how the tension of having to cover peppy and deal with the missiles at the same time, impossible
