Gosh I miss this. Grew up watching this version. And while I agree that the voice acting isn't that good, I still prefer this voice to the original Japanese. She sounds more boyish here...more action-girl. I can't get used to watching her talk with a squeaky voice.

Nelvana Dub sakura has a very soothing voice while I can't watch the other dub my ears is ringing from theirs voices, and i can't differentiate the character if they all sound the same

@1heartless1 coz she still sounds like a kid. She doesn't particularly sound like she's 15, just like any normal pre-teen (somewhere between the age of 9-13). I suppose there are 15-year-olds who would soundl ike that though, since there are 15 year olds who have more mature voices and 15 year olds that sound more like kids. I first watched the Cardcaptors English dub when I was 11 years old and Sakura sounded like she could've been one of my classmates.

Me and a lot of fans hated the dub of the 2nd film. Kari Wahlgren had no right to replace Carly Mckillip like that. Carly was upset about not doing the 2nd film and she was under contract. Me and fellow Sakura Avalon fans are trying to contact the company who did the dub and try to bring back Sakura Avalon for the new series. It has been confirmed that the 2nd film was ignored and replaced by the episode Sakura and the two teddy bears. So take that Kari Wahlgren and Sakura Kinomoto aka by the Sakura Avalon fans (The Reverse Sakura). Score one for Sakura Avalon. Sakura Avalon's last words were "Maybe there is hope." That's what we are doing, trying to give her hope like the Hey Arnold fans give Arnold hope for the Jungle Movie.

I thought the dub was decent. Not as great as it could have been, but not as horrible either. The VA's were okay. The things that annoyed me the most were the name changes (Would it really have been that complicated to keep the pronunciation of Sakura the same?) and the editing. Well, and the fact that the theme song makes me laugh every time because it reminds me so much of Pokemon. :)

i never claimed that it was fact. i liuke the english dub and you don't like the english dub, we each have our differences, however i find it quite irritating when people post things like "It's widely accepted that the English dub sucks." without providing any real proof to back up this claim. also i would like to point out that back in the the 90's and early 2000's most american cartoon channels refused anything that had something they did not like, even if it was only an overtone

you do realize that the english dub was made much more kid friendly because that was the target audience in america? and back in the 1990's and early 2000's they would not stand for homosexuality of any kind to exist within a cartoon show for children. also i would like to point out that your issues with the voices are indeed still an opinion and simply because YOU dislike them does not make it fact that they are terrible.

yeah her voice actress is horrible. She also voiced Amethyst from Trollz. She can not deliver a line right to save her life. but her voiced worked better in Trollz because it was a short mediocre show with not much plot. The whole American dub version of this show is bad. they even cut out plot points and character development like with syaroan's relationship with sakura and they give them american names so we can imagine that are white but still have eps where we see the Tokyo tower.
