They're 12 OVAs compared to 40 or something episodes of the anime series, they had more time to make less animation so of course it's gonna turn up more animated and consistent, though the Darby OVA looks significantly more manga accurate art style wise compared to the other OVAs for some reason.

The ova has this, really distinct 90s look to it, with a really good quality of animation even tho its not that manga accurate for what ive heard, but is lacks the outstanding sound design and impact shots from the anime. So, if we combine the 2 of them, it would be amazing. Evne tho the ova had some liberties in scenarios and battles, its good to see different aproaches from the same thing.

i always wondered this about star platinum stopping time. they say its because the world and star platinum are similar stands. it was stated to be able to stop time you must first believe you can. is it possible that star platinums main power wasn't even to stop time but jotaro was the only one to think he could so he was able to. i know it sounds stupid but hear me out star platinum has had multiple random abilities and jotaro noticing that the world was similar to his stand could have been a thought of his and so he tried to figure out if he could.

Dio stopped time before he thought he could, so that's not how that works. Personally I think Jotaro inherited his stand from Dio, but didn't know he had the ability to move in stopped time or stop time himself until he met Dio. The rest of SP's abilities could be counted as just part of its physical attributes and not special abilities.

I remember hearing that the world and star platinum’s time stopping abilities were changed from generally stopping time to the stands (and/or users) just moving so fast that time appears to be stopped. Which is why Jotaro’s time stop duration was reduced by made in heaven’s ability. So i guess the answer is that since the world and star platinum has similar speed, jotaro was able to invade dio’s “time stop”.
