Absolutely love this song and album. In 92 I bought the cassette. Turn this girl I had a crush on to Teenage Fan club and she liked them. Haven’t seen her in 30 years. Melody wherever you are, if you didn’t know then and by chance read this….now you do. I hope life has treated you well.

One of my all time favorite songs by one of my all time favorite bands. Saw them again last week, Norman traded picks with me at the end of the show!

Bandwagonesque was one of my favorite albums of the 90s. I saw the video for "The Concept" on 120 minutes or somewhere, and got the album on a whim... Really glad I did. Your cover is perfect, and I really appreciate the memories!

Absolutely One of my all favorite tracks by The fannies! Brilliant choice of song. I’ve been playing this tune a while now and you just thought me something new about this tune ! Very greatly appreciated, Thank you very much :)

Cheers Chonky! I have to say... working out what Raymond plays made this one of the hardest songs I've done... I don't think I'm 100% right with what he plays but I'm close. He also plays differently on the record to live which doesn't help! I watched a lot of live videos but as he's the other end of the stage from the singer the cameras generally ignore him. Glad you like it!

Thank you so much for all those amazing videos! Question: What’s the thinking behind recalibrating your tuner to 450 and how did you figure that out? Do you think that’s what they did for the recording?
@SparkyGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Haukur!! Quite often you play along and it's just out of tune - especially for songs that were recorded before digital recording. Bands would often speed the tape up or slow it down to either make it sound right (make it more relaxed or more aggressive)... or to make it easier for the singer to hit a note. So recalibrating your tuner just compensates for that change in tempo that the band made after they'd recorded the instruments. For small adjustments it can be because the tuner the band used wasn't calibrated. Hope that helps!
