A tip for getting rid of everyone you do have to use photo mode but its better than nothing!: So go into the option where you can buy the horse Then go out and really quickly hit the photo mode! Boom! All the rats are eradicated from the game to the point where they are rolling on the floor screaming (:

I didn’t know this until I did the research but apparently there are gaited Appaloosa’s and the “appy amble” is called “Indian shuffle” or “Appaloosa shuffle” in rl. Essentially it’s the lateral movement of both legs on a single side at once in a fast walk. The more you know lol

The Appy coats did not follow the natural hair patterns much that is my biggest pet peeve on them I love leopards but they would def look 100 times better if they followed the hair waves on the body of the horse! C: I hope you feel better Denise!! Best wishes!

The gait is called the Appaloosa shuffle. It does look a little weird but the animation isn't all that inaccurate. Over all the horse isn't bad but the hard stop needs to be changed to something better, like some thing almost like the quarter or paint horse because the appy can get in the dirt if needed and no horse stops like that sso.

I love this pattern but I'm also incredibly upset because the horse they mottled the peacock appy after is named Wicket, or Arrogant Playboy, and he is connected to one of the worst BYB operations and is causing so many issues in ApHA. It's sad because he's a beautiful horse but has issues that make it not good that he's being bred. 😑

it honestly annoys me that sso just copies coats from irl horses, especially those like wicket who have genetic diseases (+ are used as breeding stock YUCK who would want to breed to an HYPP positive stallion. halter breeders are so weird for that). also wicket's owner sucks she's such a horrible person. i wish sso could be more creative and come up with their own coats instead of copying.

Wicket is actually Hetro for the genetic issue and can only be bred to HYPP Neg mares and is actually owned by a registered breeder. A BYB won't own registered horses and I've personally spent 6+ hours speaking to his owner, his seller and everyone involved and there is ALOT that went on prior to Wicket being purchased. IF anyone took the time to look at Wicket's pedigree, they'd see he gets the HYPP from Impressive which is on a good 99.99% of ALL western bred horses. Even my own HYPP Neg mare had him not once, but three times. She had Mr. Impressive once and Impressive twice. HYPP can actually be bred out of a bloodline through HYPP N/N (neg) breedings which is what Wicket's owner is doing and after speaking to several Appaloosa Horse Club registered buyers, they've even backed that information up. When you breed a hypp H/N to a HYPP N/N you have a 50/50 of the gene passing as a carrier or not at all. If a foal is born HYPP Neg. and is then bred to another HYPP Neg. their resulting foal will also be HYPP Neg. Wicket's coloring has passed not once but twice. His sire is a Peacock and his grandsire is also a Peacock, meaning you COULD breed a HYPP Neg. Peacock Appy. It just requires ALOT of careful planning on everyone's behalf. The fact of the matter is, if people wish to call Wicket a POS then they need to look at the TB industry as Ruffian's breakdown can be directly linked to Native Dancer, a horse who had known leg, bone, and hoof issues. Native Dancer even broke down quite a few times. In fact the entire Dancer bloodline is wrought with bone issues. Horses who've been allowed to "grow up" have broken down on a trail ride, many in which, resulted in the animal being destroyed. The QH industry is no better with how it's being bred for the lower than normal neck carriage. In the TB world, it's been discovered that, the inbreeding has become so bad, that there is no longer any genetic diversity and now the breed as a whole, is in a genetic emergency. And, is the ONLY breed in modern history to be considered as such. Their only known solution? Cloning. Which in of itself, has serious issues as many clones are infertile, have other genetic issues, have bone structure issues, and more. Furthermore, everyone who breeds any sort of animal is considered by the SPCAs of the world as a BYB so the BYB no longer holds any value. Wicket's Stallion Ad clearly cites he is to be bred to HYPP N/N mares and lying on your Stallion Ad comes with hefty fines and even the risk of prison time.

HYPP is an autosomal dominant mutation, meaning that both heterozygous and homozygous horses are affected by the disease. if bred to a negative mare, the offspring has a 50% chance of having this disease. he shouldn't be breeding stock, period, and neither should any other horses in ANY industry that are positive for any germ-line genetic diseases. yes this includes the warmblood breeders (WFFS), arabian breeders (LFS, SCID, OAAM and CA), qh + paint + appy breeders (HYPP, PSSM, MH, HERDA and GBED) and any other disease-causing germ-line mutations in any breed.

So this is my own opinion who has shown appaloosas: Appaloosas come in a lot of shapes. Nowadays they’re bred mostly for shows. The types used for shows are like the quarters/paints just taller and less bulky. (Expect for halter horses: they are all about muscles and bulkiness) I get that sso wanted to make a different model for this breed as well but it sure feels like it’s unfinished. For me this model doesn’t show the elegance the appaloosas actually have. The model looks like a donkey/mule to me rather than a horse. The coats feel lazy especially that god awful spotted one. They made a better spotted coat on the friesian model and that breed has nothing to do with spots. I’m very unhappy how they rushed these horses. I do feel they were 100% rushed since we didn’t get any spoilers on sso’s social media and the model and coats sure look unfinished for me. Sso can make a lot better job than this…

I think the issue with this horse is that in the canter, slow gallop, and gallop, the shoulders don't move as much as they should, making the animation stiff, and choppy.
