+Aryan Parchure You can't tell what sex they are when babies. But as adults the females are much larger with a rounder body shape and shorter tail. Adult males are about half the size of the females with a much longer tail and a concave plastron.

How old and how big are your Stars? As adults it's easy to tell because females are larger and more round than males and males have a concave plastron and a longer tale.

+Ross Adcock I don't know exactly how old are they. There size is 3 inch but one is half inch more bigger.

At that size it is almost impossible to tell. Enjoy watching them grow and hopefully in a few years they will start to show what sex they are.

abdul obeidat ...You...Put it underwater? That is an AWFUL Idea, These are tortoises, they live on land, if it wasnt dead before, it sure as hell is now. Unless you wanna see if theres the rare chance its not dead, take it out and put it in its cage, wait a few days or so.

abdul obeidat Well, Tortoises get their water by soaking, so each tuesday and thursday and maybe one of the days on the weekend let it sit in a bath for half an hour, I reccomend getting molch from LLLReptile for substrate, sand can cause digestive options, also buy a UVB Light, look up what kind is best for them and buy that one,

Yes Indian and yes again I do keep my Stars outside pretty much year round.
