That is hands down the most beautiful connie reimagining i have ever seen! I don't understand how a fan can get it so right yet the '09 movie can get it so wrong. This is how you reimagine a classic properly. Wonderful ship! In fairness, the Discovery Enterprise was also a great take on the old girl, and also much better than the '09 ship; or "the Uglyprise" as i like to call her:)

Very cool, it's more a TOS era design with kelvin timeline nacelles. It's a very cool variant of the legend. The zoom out from Arboretum is a good idea. Was a lot of work, I guess? Overall, very good work. Thank you for sharing with us.

It probably could have been (at least, the original design Gabe Koerner where the pylons weren't back-swept) if the vocal ones weren't bitching over every little detail. My gods, there was so much backlash in the Star Trek BBS and LCARS Community over this design, while all the while I was screaming "they're NOT going to give us a 1 to 1 recreation of the TOS ship. If we don't get behind THIS, then they are going to instead give us something WORSE!!!" ... but alas, we got the inevitable result. And lets be fair, I actually like the 2009 ship, for the most part. I would straighten the pylons out so they don't curve inward, and I would scoot the secondary hull and its main bulge back a bit, but overall I like it. But THIS ship (again, the original Koerner design of it, this version changed a few things) I would have gotten behind 100%. I loved every part of it EDIT: Actually, I do like this secondary hull a bit better. I'd like to see another edit, blending the two designs together. I would also reposition the torpedo launchers to the underside of the saucer, but with the same launcher protrusions that were instead on the secondary hull

@@k1productions87 That's why I don't like people such as Captain Foley over at Trekyards, he's an arrogant prick and if it's not the TOS Enterprise right down to the last detail, then it's nothing at all. I mean, even I have my nitpicks and favs/dislikes, but people like him just take it too far. This was Roddenberry's vision, not theirs. That's something that is sorely lost with shows like Picard and Discovery.
@k1productions873 жыл бұрын
@@cujoedaman Actually go one step further. When it came to much of what we appreciate the most about Star Trek, it was more the vision of Matt Jeffries, Gene Coon, and writers like D.C. Fontana. Most of the episodes written by Roddenberry (that he wasn't just taking credit for someone else's work) were actually quite poor. "The Omega Glory" for example... which Gene personally submitted for Emmy consideration. Boy I'd love to have been a fly on the wall when they debated that little piece of business, LOL
@k1productions873 жыл бұрын
@Robert Pierson No, Hollywood hates the overly vocal ones that are literally impossible to please. They could literally give you everything you ask for, and you will STILL spew hate at it. So there is no point in even trying anymore. So-called "real Star Trek fans" hated TNG when it first came out, just because it was new. They hated DS9, just because it was new and different. It just went on, and on, and on. Well y'know what? After a while you just aren't even worth listening to anymore. Now maybe the franchise can GROW, rather than stagnating in endless attempts to please the un-pleaseable.
@tjeerdtrekkie10303 жыл бұрын
@@k1productions87 people can say what they want about the Kelvin timeline, but I think the ship designs in the jj movies (we don't see that much ships but when they appear on screen) were one of the most beautifull in Trek. It was a fresh new exciting and futuristic look on the franchise and I think it's not bad at all. Believe me I'm a Trekkie but Im still pleased with it. There is a reason it was a reboot and not a exact remake. and be honest that would probably be pretty boring.
