No Season 1,2 and 3 were years 1,2 and 3 of the five-year mission respectively. So if it wasn't an alternate timeline this movie would start when the original series ended.

Then Kirk spent 2 years on earth at the federation headquarter then comes the first film in 2272. In the alternate timeline the first film date was 2251or 52 the second is 2252 or 53 and the third is 2255 or 56. They rush forward 16-17-18 years with the destroy of the enterprise and the build of the enterprise A. It's besides how long was the build of the enterprise A. If it was 2 years then maybe 15-16-17. I don't remember now the first date of the 2009 film. But the things will happening earlyer than in the main timeline.

Multiple cargo bays, food stows in stasis, ships storage, and this is the beginning of the age of matter replicators in the Federation. Enterprise in the Kelvin-verse is huge. The 800+ personnel aren’t going hungry anytime soon. That and whilst exploring _Strange New Worlds_ they are conducting resupply by various means.

Iirc by this point replicators could handle basic foods but weren’t ready to just make whatever you asked it to, you had to pick off a menu in the form of cards that the machine reads. It’d get awful stale if you got the same menu of cards to pick from all the time, I imagine, even with the dedicated mess halls on Federation starships. Even by TNG characters talked about replicated food being kinda bland compared to regular food, so TOS stuff _had_ to get samey after a while.

I want the kelvin timeline to end with one movie with the original idea of kirk in the neruda battle against the 3 romulan warbirds, of course spock wouldn't be their nor Scotty or bones lol. Leave it to Abrams to convey the message that exploring space and expanding the federation through diplomacy is somehow, boring… His little “episodic” quip goes over no one’s head. It’s a bit silly and annoying. People adore TNG, DS9, and have even turned the corner on VOY and ENT. All episodic stories. If they had actually leaned into the episodic aspect of the show in this film, we could have had an exciting premise. Have it lead up to something. Instead we get this flop of a film that no one talks about w/o at least some disdain.
