Star Trek Bridge Commander: 4 Old vs 1 New

Another test, actually recorded in full 1080p this time so higher quality 1080p stream. Was wondering what to record and I thought having four of the older generation of ships against a newer one. I think picking something with Quantum torpedoes was a bit unfair for them though :P

I remember 6 or 7 years ago playing this game all the time after discovering it had been pretty much modded from an okay but forgettable into a comprehensive and expanding starship sim. My favorite thing to do was take a Defiant against Breen Light Cruisers and hide in nebulas, picking them off one at a time. Do you know if they ever finished the "WalkFX" mod that was supposed to let you move around the ship? And hell, I've still got the disc, what are the latest mods to get?

Do you have the Kobiyashi Maru? It's basically an expanded version of what was already there with even better graphics.

the mirandas are made out of explodium the excelsior and ambassidor class should been more of a challenge and the connie she is 100 years out of date

The Ambassador is not that old of a ship actually and the Miranda was still in service during the Dominion War.

Just because it fought in a recent war doesn't mean the design isn't 50+ years old. The first Ambassador was put into service in 2322. The Dominion War was 2373-2375.

I see the problem. The game treats pulse phasers as torpedoes.

I know, right? It's like Starfleet's gunnery crews were replaced with _Stormtroopers!_

The problem isn't phaser arrays missing. The problem with this scene is that the pulse phasers always hit regardless of where he has the Defiant's nose pointed as long as the target is in front. In the show they absolutely were coaxial with the ship so the Defiant had to be flown more like a fighter. He'd miss more shots if the Defiant's phasers were modeled like the ones in the show.

that was way too easy, you should have put then on hard. That would have been much more worthy of a challenge.
