Star Trek - Everything I Do - (No Music) Video

"Everything I Do" was inspired by something Leonard Nimoy said when interviewed for the first Shatner biography by Sondra Marshak & Myrna Culbreath:
'Do you think Spock is incomplete without Kirk?'
LN: "Well, I think Spock needs an environment within which to function, to make himself useful. Kirk is an initiator of action. And therefore, if there's a need either way, I would say that Spock needs to have the initiator in order to be useful in the project that the initiator initiates. I think that Kirk needs a science officer, but not necessarily Spock. He needs a good science officer, to run the ship."
Unfortunately the copyright holder does not allow the soundtrack for this video to remain. To those who have (TOS Bloopers, Heroes End of the Innocence) a big thank you for not taking down my videos and to KZbin I hope you will continue to find ways to work out a balance between those of us with no musical talent and the music industry so that we can continue to be creative. Again, unfortunately, this video is tailored to a specific song and none of the music made available in your databanks fits so the sound swap offered wont work.

Ooh, thank you!! I was just listening to this song driving home tonight and thought "Oh wow, this would make an excellent song for a Kirk & Spock video! I'll have to look for one on youtube later." And then here it is! Very nice, just what I wanted. And I played the song on iTunes while I was watching the video, so it worked out just fine without the audio. : ) But again, thanks for making this, and great job!

The books by Marshak & Culbreath are just incredible with Omne and all that - I loved them and wondered how they passed all censorship with all those tattered clothes and clenching halfnaked bodies ...

Nobody official (Paramount, etc.) gave a damn about Star Trek in those days and the only reason the Phoenix books even got published was that Marshak and Culbreath talked Fred Pohl into it. This was long before the first film begat The Franchise.

Have you tried to upload this again with the music? I am seeing other people using this song with Dawson's Creek images, etc, and youtube hasn't removed it, but added the "download from itunes" thing on the bottom. Worth a try. Very nice, I have always wanted to do a ST vid with this song but don't have the right equipment. The words are perfect, since ST is all about friendship and sacrifice.
