So a.friend of mine and.I saw The wrath of khan, not once but at least 5 times !!!. Fantastic story , Speacial effects, sad to see.Enterprise take a beating. but in the end , a.great movie. So many of them gone now! :( But then again, The Wrath of Khan was a film whose central theme was dealing with the one reality that Hollywood cannot offer us an escape from...that we are all growing older and will eventually die. "How we deal with death is at least as important as how we deal with life."

Wrath of Khan was the best Star Trek movie of all. Maybe the best two hours of the entire Star Trek franchise. I still remember watching it with a theater full of other first generation ST fans on the first day of release. People went nuts over (spoiler alert) Spock's death. As a Trekkie fan, I wish I could disagree with you, but, alas I cannot. Let’s also throw in crappy uniforms that look like a bad pair of pajamas and videography that’s vertically stretched (good for “Why the long face” jokes). Fan loyalty is what saved the franchise from this disaster. They were willing to endure and wait for the next movie to come out, which was a HUGE improvement over its predecessor.
