I still like Star Trek despite the massive deficiencies of Discovery and Picard (I like Strange New Worlds and love Lower Decks), but I gotta admit it's nice to go back to this time before all that and see one of the best premises of all the games brought to fullest flower.

This was a classic and still looks great! This is how I wish STO looked and played in terms of ship physics& hitpoints , view and scaling ,detail gives a more intimate feel with your ship that STO lacks I feel. To think this was a 2006 game .

This game was amazing! Only thing I wish was that it allowed us to play specific missions over again and to be able to choose specific ships as opponents in skirmish mode.

With the Ultimate Universe mod you can replay any missions, it also has custom missions you can change enemy ships depending on difficulty and points to spend, still the mod makes the game very fun@@marlonwalker7110

I never got the opportunity to play this. I didn't even know it existed until I stumbled on this video, but I sure as hell would like to have it. Considering gog has recently got a bunch of trek titles on the platform, maybe there is hope for this one to soon follow.

I don't remember any of this. Was it a game before the mod? I loved Armada and Armada 2. Going through this I like the progression. Ships look great. I like the actual actors in the game doing voice overs.

star trek legacy is a game published by Bethesda and came out in 2006. It is one of the rare proper star trek games, there aren't many others were you can do this type of movement and controls with star trek games. if I'm right there is only one other game and that would be star trek online which is a free mmo game that has been around for years and still gets constant updates as it is one of the things that has kept the trekkie fan base together and interested with its beautiful models, campaign and gameplay. even tho it is a bit weird when your on ground. but other then that one thing star trek online is awesome and legacy is that just no modifications, less ships and no online.

I rented this on the xbox for a couple of weeks back in the day and finished it, heaps of potential with getting all the captains on board including Brooks who after DS9 seems to not want anything to do with the character (refusing to appear in the anniversary documentary etc) I had fun with the game but you are right the gameplay is super patchy and I knew I was playing a 6 out of 10 game. Still enjoyable enough to warrent a look for true trekkie fans

Had the near-same in two missions - this one giving stock Galaxy, and The Squeeze forcing stock Constitution, instead of Enterprise. Mod's bugged with enhanced single player maps as the cause, yet almost offsets it by having good reskins and SFX, making for the double-blade that it is.

On 360 this was absolute fun but very buggy I'd set a warp destination and for whatever reason it would cancel the warp command despite facing the right direction

just recently started playing Star Trek Legacy after i've found it on My Abandonware Site. I gotta say for a 2006 PC game it handles pretty good even though the controls are a bit clunky but to me it's very good after not playing a Star Trek game since Bridge Commander

I would love a new game set in the post nemesis era - like this or bridge commander, possibly both. This story is perhaps one of the better stories used for video games as well. Just get in a good writing team who know Trek well - unlike the Kurtzman crew. Possibly the people behind Lower Decks?

If you ever watched the series Enterprise you would know Johnathan Archer isn't played by Shatner but the actor who played Sam Becket in Quantum Leap lol as that is his voice I hear playing John Archer and not William Shatner as the main ship from what I see is the NX-01/NX-02 Enterprise

Is there a reason you weren't able to dock with the shipyards to repair your ships? Watching you just hang out next to them while you wait for the ship to repair itself is kind of painful... for a game that was already kind of painful given its deficiencies.

This video reminds me what turned me off immediately about this game when it came out. In that first mission do you see how the Enterprise is as big as that whole planet?? That just threw me out of it. The planets were just big golf balls that kept a perspective size of what should have been far away when the ship was right next to it

I wanted to love this game when it came out, I mean it had all? the captains from TOS to Voyager/DS9 doing the voice overs, but all of that was overshadowed by the awful targetting and glitchyness of the game. One thing I really didn't like was you had to manually tell each section of your ship to begin repairs and do the same with any ships in your fleet. It could've been a true masterpiece had they spent more time on it before releasing.

Actually.... some of the leftover borg from First Contact (on a bit of the sphere that crashed in the arctic and got frozen) showed up in an episode of Enterprise. They stayed uncharacteristically quiet, though, and never mentioned their name, so Archer's run-in with some weird defrosted cyborgs that turned people into more of them didn't get connected by starfleet to the species Picard encountered much later.

yeah the story was messed up like hell. Since when borg was made by Vger when they existed while Earth was in middle ages and so... But game itself was quite decent althrough not nearly as good as Klingon Academy or Stafleet Command.
