Star Trek Resurgence: Save Bedrosian or complete transport - Both choices and outcomes

I could hear Ambassador Spock's famous quote "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one" when I watched and rewatched this scene. While Lt Bedrosian didn't make the ultimate sacrifice, it was sad to see her lose her eyesight, but thanks to the visor implants hopefully she would've still be a fine Starfleet officer just like Geordi LaForge.

I agree about hearing Spock in my head but she definitely wasn't cut out to be a starfleet officer. She was constantly trying to kill people that had surrendered or were helpless!

7:59-8:12 The visor does look good on Lt Bedrosian. It reminds me of a certain mid-rank Chief Engineer serving aboard the USS Enterprise-D....

the toughest decision for any commander is to send men to their deaths. but at the same time you can't dwell on it... and on the contrary it seems like the most successful commanders in history that succeeded also viewed their men as nothing more than faceless pushpins on a map.

These tough choices are exactly why this game needs a chapter select option. Hard to justify a second playthrough when the gameplay can be super annoying at times.

@@ModestPavement well, when I heard this game exists and is set in pre-suck trek era, plus was supposedly a decent trek style story and experience, despite 'retro' graphics and yanky gameplay, I -HAD TO- buy it. And then one might as well play it. But the combat, some controls, the interface and save system...yikes...

@@lutzderlurch7877 yeah I grew to hate the tricorder and don't get me started on the frequency puzzle. The story was pretty well written overall. Had some good characters and the choices had more impact than other games in the genre. Lot's of nerd out moments for sure if you're a fan of the shows, especially TOS and TNG.

It doesn't bother me that much if the choices don't make a huge difference to the ending, it shapes the story as I'm experiencing it and that's what matters. It would be nice if it did reflect the Mass Effect experience but the story throughout the game IS affected and that's what matters to me.

This whole game is about MAKING NARRATIVE CHOICES. Its probably a good game. You should know that this game is DEFINITELY NOT MASS EFFECT 🤔
