I think you missed one interesting bit by Patrick Stewart. At the end, after he is restored to his regular form again, he strokes his head. He is either confirming he is bald again or checking to see if he retained his kid hairline.

The one thing about this episode that always kinda bothered me is that they never mention Picard's artificial heart. Presumably it wouldn't have changed size to fit his smaller chest cavity.

Damn. That's a REALLY good point. They should have had a throw away line about that, honestly.

One thing is that these child actors did a great job playing adults! I really liked young Ro Laren! My favorite line was when Troi adviced young Picard that he could go back to the academy and young Picard retorts " and have Wesley Crusher as my roommate? " I burst out laughing!

This is one of my favorite episodes! Love Riker using technobabble to outsmart the ferengi😂

Props to Frakes for doing so well speaking all that garbage lol

Invoked the Fizzbin Bluff that Kirk did.

Hey Tots. I've been hard at work on making this new series a possibility. Pop Tot and I wanted to continue to talk Trek, so we thought we would go back reviewing throughout the 900 episodes. Each week we will take turns picking episodes (trying our best to avoid the popular ones to start). Each episode will be ranked, amassing a cumbersome leaderboard that I surely won't keep track of. Please let us know what episodes you'd like us to review and we will see you on the next one! - Mr. Tot

Hey hey Tot! Nice to see you back! Great idea for a video series.

Yes! The video was suppose to be out much sooner than intended, but that's okay. I'm happy with the way it came out and hope others enjoy it!

I like this episode lol

I have a love hate with this. On a logical level it makes ZERO sense, but the nostalgia/love for the crew makes it feel like a warm cozy blanket.

That part was both funny and painful. Frakes' reactions really help though.

Older Picard has Worf as an officer. Young Picard has Alexander for a helper.

I thought this was a fun episode. There were some... interesting... things about it, though. Like Ferengi using "surplus Klingon ships." I thought Chief O'Brien's reaction to Keiko was appropriate for the situation.
@NaterTot Жыл бұрын
Completely agree. I think they handled it well.

Five Ferengi against one thousand twelve crew members. Everyone's a hostage.

From a comedy perspective; I thought this episode was funny. However that being said, this was a weird stand alone episode. That wasn’t actual good science fiction.

Really well said.

This is one of my favorite episodes. It may not be a technically sound story, but its a comfort watch for me. Definitely biased as my stepdaughter likes it.

Completely agree. It is a warm blanket. I highly enjoy it, silly or not

The script is weak. But like The Core the actors nail it to such a degree I still find this a fun watch.

Completely agree. You can tell they ignored the science advisors and really just decided to do whatever.

Picard never allows children on the bridge. However young Picard can be on the bridge.

Not the most intelligent episode of Star Trek, but TNG alone has far more ludicrous plots than this.
@NaterTot Жыл бұрын
100%. Some of the Trek plots in general are insane
@mikeonthecomputer Жыл бұрын
This was always one of my favorite episodes of TNG. It's just a silly comedic episode with light drama. The A plot being the struggle of being a child again, the B plot being the action set piece with the Ferengi that pushes the plot forward. It never gave me a "two episodes pushed together" vibe to me, just standard A- and B-plot things. One thing notable to me, is that even though Next Generation says that the ship has around 1000 personnel, it rarely ever feels like it. The main 7 characters are all that show up in most episodes and extra background crew members are not really highlighted often enough to make the ship feel bigger than the bridge crew. That's something I've always felt the original series did better; TOS would frequently incorporate guest stars to play non-bridge officers and you could get a much better sense every episode that the Enterprise was really manned by 400 people.
