Exactly, there's no reason Giamatti couldn't play an edgy, "villainous", Klingon instructor at the Academy who doesn't preach the "warm and fuzzy" Federation line.

I would like to see the "Enterprise D" as an ancient academy training ship. Giamatti could be the museum ship curator constantly yelling at the cadets not to damage anything historic

@@raymondcanessa7208 That actually sounds like it could be its own show. In light of the fact that the Discovery had tech for 1000 years that apparently no one in the universe reproduced, and the fact that the burn likely created a situation where a lot of the newest tech being developed was probably just left where it was, surely they must have ships scavenging the remnants of the Federation now more than ever. Personally I would like to see that more than an academy show.

Since Section 31 is apparently set during 'The Lost Era' James could be playing Prime Georgious son, who became resentful after his mothers death & now is even more of a prick after seeing someone strutting around with his mothers face.

I would imagine he would be one of her descendants due to the fact that the story revolves around the Tomed incident, which occurred during the Enterprise B's missions.

I don't think Starfleet Academy will be in San Francisco, probably will be at the 31st century Starfleet Headquarters with Tilly teaching.

It does have an expansive arboretum, the closest thing to that in the 31st-century is the Angelou-class, now having that as the Academy would be visually awesome.

I would guess Jorginho ‘s character farther would be a great guy because Jorginho is from the mirror universe . I think her father from this universe is going to make her a better person with tons of unconditional love

Disappointed that Starfleet Academy is set to occur in the 32nd century. I find the future Starfleet to be antiseptic, cold and no logic to the starship designs. The triple taps and programmable matter are overpowered tropes that are eating away at the stakes of the episodes. I wish the Starfleet Academy show were set during Kirk and Spock’s era. So much more canon to explore and expand. What other starships were flying around then?
