I didn’t want him to leave the show or not be part of the main crew anymore. On a serious note we see Will Wheaton at probably his most relaxed when he’s among his fellow cast mates. We now know he revealed he suffered from terrible emotional abuse from both his parents during his time on the show. Next Sunday will be interesting. You get this comedic episode, when two episodes after starts a string of three very serious ones, which have defined this show quite a bit. I know Jen has seen them already, as the KZbin releases are quite behind the actual watch-alongs, but I still don't want to say here what happens, because it feels more apt that way. Overall, situations like this are a good reason that watching through the whole show is better than just the highlights. I mean, this episode isn't considered one of the best, nor particularly important to the over-arching narrative, but it's so nice to see them be ridiculous for a time. Though, I guess one element was introduced here that I know is brought up later: the Ferengi ears being erogenous zones. I have wondered, though, even though this doesn't become relevant until halfway through season 6, whether Deep Space Nine will also be watched for this channel. The best way to do it is to intersperse it with TNG in the same way it was aired--especially because the two did do some crossing over. And, of course, when TNG is finished, there's also the question of whether it will then be on to Voyager (definitely I assume the TNG movies will be watched, of course--kind of sad DS9 and Voyager never got any movies of their own, but I can assume that neither really left anywhere to go afterwards). No particular need in my mind to continue to Enterprise if it's not desired, though also I wouldn't be against it being checked out. And modern Trek shows have their own aspects (but I've never seen a single episode of any of the streaming offerings).
