There was also the scene in "Ensign Ro", where Guinen tells Ro that a long time ago, she got in a lot of trouble, and only got through the situation because she trusted Jean-Luc Picard. Guinen was clearly uncomfortable saying that much, and didn't want to give Ro any more information than necessary. Perhaps it was because Picard himself didn't remember it yet?

Interesting man Mark Twain, he was friend's with Nikola Tesla, and was around when the first recording devices were made, but he had all the recordings of his voice destroyed because he hated how he sounded. Making him the first person to ever hate hearing himself on tape. So every actor whose portrayed him has in fact been emulating an inflection put on by another actor who was trying to copy his accent, each getting more exaggerated than the other. Kinda like when people do impressions of Shatner.

@ Probably because she’s just a bartender, it’s not like she has any knowledge of military or technological tactics to counter the borg. And the galaxy is a dangerous place, lots of hostile factions out there, where do you start? The borg weren’t supposed to meet humanity that early, except that Q forced that meeting prematurely and the Borg then set off from the delta quadrant to find earth. Maybe had history unfolded differently and the federation reached a point where it started to expand into the delta quadrant naturally, Guinan might’ve then warned against it and the threat of the Borg. But the need for that warning was likely still centuries away if not for Q’s meddling.
