This is one of my fav pinballs of all time. I did find it frustating that the top right flipper was notoriously weak. Plus, this game was more prone to breaking down than any other in the arcade. Wonderful video. thanks very much. :)

You must be a young boi. The machine is special because its one of the first that had 'missions' - this was NEW at the time which made the game engrossing. Years later your ADHD Xanax Aderol generation cant appreciate it. But 'missions' were new back then, it made it seem like 10 pinball games in one+ it was widebody which was making a comeback at the time.

Had this in my basement for seven years. I totally agree with @mikepalomino it really is the greatest pinball table! That said it required ::major:: upkeep though. Definitely worth it though!

@mikepalomino When you trigger the neutral zone modes, they don't stack with the missions, nothing stacks.. in some cases you can screw up your progress if you trigger the wrong mode. Compare the video modes in STTNG and IJ to something like FT or BSD that have true randomization. The video modes continue to be challenging in those other games.. especially in BSD where the video mode portion gets progressively more difficult. In STTNG it's boring and repetitive and it didn't need to be.

@mikepalomino The biggest problem with this game is that the modes don't stack. It's a serious design flaw. This game could potentially rank up there with TZ in terms of long term playability if the software wasn't so bad. The video mode is really nice too, except the caves are not random. What were they thinking? It's sad to see such a great game ruined by poor software.

Missions dont make a game special to me. I look at artwork, audio, and nonstop action. Audio was ok on this game. but I dont like the artwork, looks cluttered. Give me a TOAN, BOP, BH2K and bring back FM sythesis
