Commander William T. Riker himself, the beloved Jonathan Frakes of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” fame gives an absolutely hilarious and impromptu “Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction” monologue at his thoroughly enjoyable 2019 Fan Expo Canada Q&A panel in Toronto.
Jonathan Scott Frakes (born August 19th, 1952) is an American actor, host and writer, but also a director who directed while starring in "Star Trek: First Contact" (1996) and "Star Trek: Insurrection" (1998). He directed episodes of several different Star Trek television series and Seth MacFarlane's homage to Star Trek, "The Orville." Frakes was the voice of 'David Xanatos' and other characters in the Disney television series "Gargoyles" (1994-1996) and "Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles" (1996-1997). He is also well known for hosting seasons two, three and four of the television series "Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction" (1998-2002). In June 2011, Frakes narrated the History Channel documentary "Lee and Grant." He also has extensive experience voicing characters in animation and video games including "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2016-2019), "Future-Worm!" (2016-2018) and "XCOM 2: War of the Chosen" (2017) to name a few. And, Frakes is the author of the novel "The Abductors: Conspiracy" (1996). He is set to reprise his role of 'William Riker' in the much-anticipated TV series "Star Trek: Picard" slated for release in 2020.

Shame the subject of the abomination Discovery kept getting brought up, and Frakes was probably paid or being a team player by not bashing it. Same with Picard although to be fair this was before it came out and we didn't know how bad it would be. Otherwise, this is a great talk. His report with fans and his wit is on another level. Stewart could never have a talk like this, but Frakes gets it.
