Majel Barrett is the voice of the computer, she also played Lwaxana Troi and was married to Gene Roddenberry. As she began getting close to the end, they had her record a metric shit ton of lines so she could always be the computer. This predates the potential for AI to mimic voices, so they really did record a fuck ton of lines. Because of this, the AI that eventually -DOES- get trained on her voice work is going to have so many relevant quality voice samples that it will almost certainly be indistinguishable. ...Presuming the CBS fucks care enough about the IP to pay out those royalties when the time comes.

What audio clips did you use to generate the voice?

I didn't personally generate the voice clip. It was created by BAZ in a forum thread over at Knockout.chat where we were messing about with this fancy 11.ai thing. I just did an audio pass to add all the bleep-bloops and music. I asked BAZ just to doublecheck and the answer given to me was: _For the samples I filtered and chopped out segments from Picards speeches on KZbin. On reflection that probably wasn't the best source since he tends to over annunciate and put on a deeper voice during speeches. It was a lot of trial and error before it spat out something which sounded right._
