Having played in a Multiversal TTRPG... yeah, no. This is basiclly the response we had to the BBEG breaking out the Empire. Then we ended up flipping elements of it to our side and shit-kicking the Vong alongside Grand Admiral Thrawn. Then it pretty much went down-hill for the BBEG.

Apparently the _Star Wars_ and _Star Trek_ fandoms had an argument over whether the Death Star could destroy a Borg Cube. A mediator from the _Stargate_ fandom gave the answer, which should have been obvious in hindsight: upon first encounter, the Death Star could absolutely destroy a Borg Cube, but would never be able to do so ever again as the rest of the Collective would adapt to defend themselves against its Superlaser.

@@Donleecartoons Going with the headcanon theory that Tarkin severely underestimated the situation because of his new toy. Tarkin didn't wait for a proper gathering of Imperial forces and immediately went after the Falcon on Yavin because there was no way for him to lose. Also going with the headcanon theory that the Deathstar didn't have a full compliment of Tie Fighters yet because it was only fully operational for a few days and they were still shipping in men and equipment. Big laser firing soccer ball of death that can blow up planets? What more do you need? ^ That was probably Tarkin's attitude. "We got enough to get the job done and I will look like a genius to the Emperor."

I was about to ask why this feels a lot cooler than the fleet showing up in Rise of Skywalker, then I realized the answer. It's because, even if you don't know everyone and the movies/shows they are from, you can tell that these are real characters from various backgrounds showing up to work together for a climactic battle, instead of just thousands of copy-paste assets splattered all over the screen that came from nowhere.

Multi universal fleet shows up to join the fight against the Death Star. Before they get within reach of the entire ship, yes ship, not station, is vaporized. Along with several imperial shipyards and training facilities, billions died in an instant. Palpatine is killed after being beamed into a ship before said ship goes supernova. Tau'ri in their fleet of cloaked ships " Jobs done anything of use has been taken society catalogued. Helm set a course back to our universe." Thus in an instant, all the great minds were beyond confused as to how such a thing happened and who would murder countless innocents in destroying military targets. Meanwhile, Q and the Ancients would be taking bets as to who will figure out the mystery first.
